THANK YOU CANADA!


I can't tell you how excited I am to be making my inaugural blog post on the Passion 268 Blog from north of the border in the beautiful city of Toronto.

Toronto, wow! What can I say? We are overwhelmed. No one has ever attempted a citywide (OK, Ontario-wide!) university gathering before, so we really didn't know what to expect. But when a student from Alberta (that's not in Ontario for all you guys reading this from down below) was outside the Ricoh at 9 AM, we had a feeling something pretty amazing was about to happen.

Thank you so much for allowing Passion to come and share this night with you. Your beaming faces, and the hunger in your hearts, have won us over. As much as we already loved Canada, and felt a tremendous connection to the university students throughout the GTA, that feeling is even stronger now.

One thing I know sitting in the Ricoh as you head back to places all across southern Ontario... God is alive and well here! He is alive and His name was made great in this place tonight.

Headed out into the cold Toronto night now, humbled God would make it possible for our Passion team be a part of such a special night!

    PRAISE GOD for such an amazing turnout and God's presence at Passion!!! Thank you so much for coming to Toronto and helping us continue and keep the passion going among the many different university students. We feel so blessed to have such a dedicated organization that wants to see the name of Jesus glorified in our city. It was DEFINITELY an amazing event, and we look forward to passion coming back again so we can once again celebrate the name of Jesus, but also continuing to make it a name known to all nations.

  • It's 3am, I just got home from Passion Toronto and I am sitting here just revelling in the majesty of our God. Passion Team, thank you SO much for bringing your ministry to us in Ontario - I believe that many of us left Ricoh with God's presence, taking it with us to our various campuses. I have definitely been blessed through your ministry, and I pray that you will have the opportunity to be used to speak to the lives of many others. The event tonight was simply amazing,and Lord willing, I look forward to more like it! God bless you all, and thanks again for coming to us.

    like... WOW.
    thank you sooooooooo much for bringing Passion up to toronto for us. we've all been waiting so long for something like this to happen.. to see so many of us university students coming together in worship and praising God in one unified voice.

    i remember watching the promo cd for Passion Toronto. one thing that was said in one of the videos was how whatever city you guys go into and do an event/concert.. God's already moving in that city.. and that Passion is just a small part of what God's doing there. tonight... i got a chance to see that bigger picture of what God's doing in OUR city and how much HOPE we have in bringing revival into our campuses because our God is SUCH A BIG GOD.
    thank you for being a part of what God's doing here in toronto. and i'm so thankful that God's using this ministry to stir up something BIG inside thousands of college/university students' hearts and sending us out there to make HIS NAME RENOWN.

    i'm looking forward to seeing Passion come up to Canada again and (hopefully) going into other cities and provinces to continue to unify and send out students over on this side of the border to proclaim and bring fame to His name on other campuses outside of Ontario!

  • Thank-You for finally coming to Toronto. I was a student when I first heard about Passion about 9-10 yrs ago. Now at 30 and well...not a student anylonger, still I was not about to miss this incredible opportunity. There is something VERY POWERFUL about corporate worship. It's says that God inhabits the praises of his people, and I know he was there last night!! Just one suggestion...I waited outside from 2:50pm yesterday..can you come in the summer next time. ;-)

  • Passion Team, from what I experienced last night at the Ricoh, I know that God is using all of you mightily for His glory. The way God moved in that arena, and through each and every one of us in there - through the prayer, through the worship, through the fellowship - was absolutely wonderful. I came home blessed with a rejuvenated heart and mind, and I praise Him for bringing Passion to Toronto.

    It's truly amazing how great and powerful our God is... May the Lord continue to use all of you in reaching out to other students around the world and be a blessing to them, just as you have been to all of us here in Canada :oD

    One thing is for sure - God does not have limits in distance when it comes to His people. Let's make it a prayer priority that one day the Passion Conferences will have the blessed opportunity to be in rotation across North America and eventually across the entire world.

  • Praise God. I'd really like thank you for coming to Canada, for speaking about HIS renown to the hearts of the university students in Toronto, Ontario and Canada. My gf and i drove down from Ottawa Monday and drove home right after Passion. It was quite a marvelous sight to see the name of Jesus lifted up. On a lighter note, Crowder's hair is likewise some sort of magnificents from God, what kinda of Gel does he use? lol - and its all God. Really though in our hearts on our 4.5hour drive home, we where floored by images of people in our lives and our two universities and college in Ottawa. It'd be awesome to see the brothers and sisters in the University's of Ontario and Canada united in vision for our country. And have it all be about God.. His renown!

  • Wow! Thank you to all the Passion staff! Thank you to God for bringing them here to Toronto! What a wonderful night we had being taking into the presence of God! The worship was amazing and the teaching was an awesome reminder of what a powerful and loving God we serve. I am so glad to have been a part of the first Passion Canada(many more I hope)

  • I was so blessed and encouraged and my view of God was enlarged because of Passion Toronto. My faith was increased and my prayer and hope is that although Passion Toronto is over, that God's work in Toronto would just be beginning and that we would see His glory and His fame made known as never before.

  • Passion Team, every aspect of last night was AMAZING.

    But the best part was your talk , Louie with all those pictures from the Hubble telescope. It really blew my mind to see how big the universe is and how much bigger our God is. It was such a great reminder of the power and sovereignty of God.

  • Thanks Passion bunch,

    You've blown away my nerve receptors that help understand just how big God is. More and more I know just how small I am, and yet God listens to each and every one of us come to Him in praise and worship. Why does He do that? Why would He listen to me? It's simply amazing.

    I went with my bunch from Campus Crusade for Christ in Guelph and we brought 2 busloads of people including Asian Christian Fellowship and IVCF. This is the beginnings of unity in the works. And to see the uncoordinated presence of many of my church friends from Toronto blew me away that even though I don't know about it, God is working all over the place.

    God has bigger plans for the GTA's students, bigger than Youth on a Hill, bigger than Passion Toronto. It's a huge wave coming, thanks for helping to usher it in.

    Thank you for listening to a couple of silly university students 4 years ago at the Worship Together conference in Toronto, and for recognizing our hunger and thirst for something greater than ourselves and our small dreams.

    Though we're not all in university any longer, I'm thankful that you heard us and pursued your vision and burden for our wonderful city anyway. My friends and I are so grateful for the work that you do through Passion. My heartfelt thanks to you and your team.

  • Thanks for bringing Passion to Canada!
    Last January, 8 of us from Ottawa, Canada drove down to Nashville for Passion 05, and since we got the news about the Toronto event, we have been extremely excited, and have been praying often.

    I've been listening to passion since I was 13, so that night was a dream come true! Sureal, Amazing, Passionate! God is sooo Faithful! Praise our Father forever!! Thank you for such an experience, Passion. I'm an international student from Singapore, so this is really a once in a lifetime thing for me.. my brother's gonna be soo jealous!

  • wow... thats all i can say really. What an amazing night. Thank you all for the work you put into making this event possible. Just the chance to meet in that place and worship with so many other people who are at the same point in their lives was amazing.
    Louis... Those astronomy examples were stunning and totally justified my skipping my astronomy class to come out... i think this was a much better lesson learned.

    What a night! Praise the Lord! Thank you for coming to CANADA. I am not from there I live in Virginia. My fam lives in Marietta, and I use to work with the College Ministry at NPCC. Havin attended a Passion Retreat and years of 7:22 this ministry has been building blocks in my walk and knowledge of the Lord. In Toronto, I have to say the hunger and desire for the Lord was reveting. God is stirring His people and used Passion as a spoon. God has uniquely designed Tornoto with represetatives from all over the Globe. There is a Harvest among the students and people of Tornoto. For those of you who live there I will continue to pray for you and the fame of the Name. Tuesday night the Lord Ravished my heart, and I will forever be changed. Praise God. Thank you Passion and students of Toronto.
