28 Day Prayer Journey To Passion 07 - Day 26

Day 26. Prepare.

That's the word of the day as our Passion Team moves into downtown Atlanta and begins the weekend process of loading in everything we need for Passion 07. Team Leaders have arrived from California, Minnesota, Texas, North Carolina, Tennessee and all across Atlanta to prepare the way for you. These are the days of long hours and hard work that will make your experience at Passion 07 possible and, we hope, life-changing.

Please continue to pray for our staff/team and volunteers today. Cheryl Bell, our Passion Event Director, is under the weather and germs of all kinds seem to be flying around trying to take our team down. As well, one of our Community Group leaders (T.S.) was just diagnosed with cancer this week. He's still on the way to Atlanta, but will be facing treatment options and further prognosis after Passion 07.

Father, prepare us as we prepare the way for You. Be present in the little things--packing, last minute changes, flight connections- -as well as the major ones. We know Passion is more than an event, but Your Kingdom coming to push back the darkness. We are in a struggle, yet You are mighty to save. Today, while the building begins, we are confident that You, Jesus, will lead us through victoriously as our eyes are on You. Amen.

"Unless the LORD builds the house, they labor in vain who build it; unless the LORD guards the city, the watchman keeps awake in vain. It is vain for you to rise up early, to retire late, to eat the bread of painful labors; for He gives to His beloved even in his sleep." Psalm 127:1-2

  • Hello!

I would like to bless EVERYBODY involved with Passion 07 with these thougths:

If you are honest, people may cheat you,
    BE HONEST ANYWAY...
    What you spend years building,
    someone may destroy overnight,
    BUILD ANYWAY...
If you find happines, they could be jealous,
    BE HAPPY ANYWAY...
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow,
    DO GOOD ANYWAY...
You see in the final analysis, it was never between you and them
IT IS BETWEEN YOU AND GOD...

Thanks for all your hard work!
    See you soon!

    South African love
    Karin

  • Father, please pour out Your healing power upon Cheryl Bell, and bring strength and health to other leaders and volunteers who are fighting off bugs. Also, please minister to the Community Group leader who was just diagnosed with cancer - Lord, show your miraculous healing power, and redeem this hardship for even greater ministry through him at Passion 07.

Father, we also pray for your protection over every staff, leader, and volunteer as some begin the set-up process and others prepare and travel today through Monday. Please protect their health and safety, and show Your presence amidst the set-up crew. Please protect their families, as well. Lord, we also lift up the students who are preparing and traveling in the coming days. Prepare the heart of each one for the work You wish to do in the coming week.

Today, and in the coming days, show us how to pray for one another, that we may join You in praying Your will into the lives of Your people!

  • Lord, you are a God who heals, and I pray in the name of Jesus Christ that where your servant's bodies are broken that you would bring healing and the strength to complete the tasks you have given them.

  • Living God, I pray that You work on me tonight so that I may prepare the way for Your kingdom to rule where I work and where I go to school. Let our everyday tasks in these last few days before Passion07 be times of preparation so that we may see You in a way we have never seen You before and then go from downtown ATL, back into a new semester preparing the way for us to see an exciting revival of Your Spirit's presence on our campuses. May You be glorified and Your renown be lifted high.

  • I am reminded that we were just in Ps. 103 a couple of days ago. "Bless The Lord o my soul and forget none of His benefits (Praise you Jesus for all the ways You have already blessed in preparation for Passion 07.); who pardons all your iniquities (Accept His forgiveness.), who heals all your diseases (T.S. praying for you!) , who redeems your life from the pit (Praise You Father for how You pull us from the pit. Gotta love Beth Moore's new book!); who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion (Let's come with our hearts full of compassion for the needy of Atl.- towels and socks galore! and around the world); who satisfies your years with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle." (I pray this for all of the volunteers who are and will be serving long hours - some who are not sping chicks. :) Thank You Father for Your Word!!!!

Father, even right now as your children are faithfully preparing, I pray you will protect them, Heal those with any sickness, let them recover and have energy enough to enjoy You to the fullest. I pray for T.S, you know what is going on in his body and if it is your will You will deliver him from it. Give him peace and comfort and strenght in this time.

God allow all the team leads to not get fustrated and dismayed in anyway, it will all work out, keep them safe while building and loading and unloadingand all the details of this event. It`s all You God.
