Happy News - Sad News

Sadly, heavy snow is falling outside the bus in Columbus, Ohio, and tonight's tour stop has been canceled. We're bummed to miss our friends at The Ohio State University, but we will be back. We are heading on to East Lansing while we can to get there for tomorrow night!

On a happier note, the second bundle of music and messages from Passion 07 is at iTunes today! Passion 07 Bundle #2 features brand new music by David Crowder*Band and Matt Redman, and the talk "An After Party For All Nations."

Remember to grab the whole album (it's only $3.49) and please help us spread the word today OR gift to a friend!

Enjoy!

  • Thank you Louie and everyone on your team!! The bundle is Incredible! It has not stopped playing on my ipod all morning and I have been spreading the word for all of my friends to hurry up and download it as well. Safe travels to you on the road! OH, THE GLORY OF IT ALL...!!! I CANNOT QUIT SMILING!

  • Sorry to hear about the canceled evening in Columbus...and praying safe travels for you guys on your trip up to Michigan.

Sounds like you could definitely make a few snowmen or have some snowball fights if you get bored in the meantime ;) (...or do Texans, Georgians, and the English make snowmen and have snowball fights?...)

    Thanks for the itunes bundle!

  • Praying for save travel for you all! Stay warm in this BLIZZARD!! The iTunes bundle is amazing, but I expected nothing less. God continues to do big things in my life because of my experience at Passion '07. What an awesome God we serve!

  • lovin' the iTunes bundle!!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 2/13/2007 12:51 PM

  • I'm listening to the bundle right now, and have already offered to gift either to any of my friends who ask (and probably some who haven't asked). It's terrific, thanks on the great job putting it together.

This talk, I wasn't even there for, I was driving, but I heard the recap from my friends (which was something along the lines of "there was a cheesy window to heaven--you'll love it") and knew it would be really changing, and it was. Both this talk, and Francis' discussion of the throne were amazing descriptions of what heaven will be like (in spirit, if not perhaps literally right with every detail) and I hope that everyone who hears it will be renewed with the desire to have as many people as possible joining them in heaven, from all over the world, and throughout all of time.

Lastly, though I'm sorry Columbus is going to miss the tour, I'm really excited because I talked my mom into joining me for it, and I'll be praying for her to experience Christ in a new way between now and then.

God bless! I'm still praying for y'all!

Praying that you will be able to share the Glory of God with the people in Lansing tomorrow night!

  • I apologize for my friends above comment, he's not disappointed at all with the bundles so far, he's excited and VERY appreciative but just doesn't know how to express it, lol.

OOOH!! Today in the mail I got the messages and break-out sessions i pre-ordered at passion!! They are amazing!! Brad Horton's break-out session was incredible... thanks guys for getting that to me! :-D

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 2/13/2007 9:53 PM

  • Sam's right. I am very appreciative of all you guy's have done to get the talks to us.
I guess I'm just depressed that I might never again see Francis Chan rip apart a pez dispenser, you know?
Sorry about posting "the only negative comment on the whole site" as Sam eloquently put it on instant messanger a few moments ago. =)

    By Blogger C. M. White, at 2/13/2007 10:01 PM

  • Caleb, don't despair. You may get to watch Francis. As far as I know there is a DVD coming out of all the talks. I pre-ordered it at Passion.

  • Kimmer, for the record and to answer your question...yes, Texans DO play in the snow, make snowmen (complete with cowboy hats sometimes:) and have showball fights--I kid you not, it has snowed FOUR times in the last two months here in North Central Texas. It's been nice, but I must say, I'm now ready for about 115 degrees so I can thaw. :) As far as skill with snow and ice, I cannot speak for the English (Georgia is close enough to Texas).

Columbus people, I am so sorry for you. Yes, God is in control and is doing what's best. I hope you get a concert later. :) When you do get one, it will be fantastic!

I am SO excited about the bundle! Thank you so much! Travel safe and stay warm. Prayin' for you guys. May God continue to shine His glory through you in amazing ways!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 2/13/2007 10:46 PM

  • i got it! praying for you guys.

oh and thanks for the reminder about gifting, what an awesome way to encourage and be encouraged!

  • That's so sad for the Buckeyes!

You all hang on in there; and get a good look at the meaning of "white as snow" while you "Southies" get the chance! It's so beautiful when it's new. Sometimes, it even *shines*!

Praying for safe travels, and much of God's glory to be shown and seen...

If y'all build a snowman, does Louie get to put the head on? :-P

PS...a sweet little Valentine: the pink PEZ dispenser with the PEZ-talk bundle.

  • thats sad news you couldnt make it to osu.

    BUT THE BUNDLE IS AMAZING.

ive been telling EVERYONE about it.

  • Just a thought for Louie...on facebook, there is an option under 'notes' to import an RSS feed, and if he wanted to he could have the 268blog entries go straight to facebook when it was updated, so even more people could enjoy the 268blog.

  • Snow IS a beautiful reminder of Is 1:18.

    Our God is amazing!

  • That's OK... speaking as a Canadian covered in snow too... not too many Columbiusites would have made it out anyway!

  • Ya, things like that are disappointing. This winter has seemed way way colder than ever before. It's snowed and iced seemingly nonstop here in Kansas for at least 2 months. Today, it was about 11 below with the wind blowing like crazy. Just imagine how much we'll appreciate spring!

Hey Louie, I saw the picture of everyone at the grammys on Chris' blog! I have to say, you're wife looks completely stunning!

  • Steph mentioned the pic of the Passion gang at the Grammy's in Chris' blog... can't find it. Please help. :)

  • Here is a question...I was at the show at Michigan State University and I am wondering if anyone knows who the recording was of, just after the break? It was a sermon clip and they had the words on the screen...

  • Hey Sam,

I think the video you're talking about is "That's My King." The narrator is T.D. Jakes. Here's a website where you can check it out:

  • Just wondering if there has been any decision made regarding a "make-up" date in Columbus?

    Thanks so much!

  • I just wanted to encourage Louie and those involved in his ministry. After listening to the podcast I popped in the old message entitled "10 Years of Choice, What a Ride." In the message Louie mentions that not one of us in this room has seen fully the way that God has chosen to use this place in the world. I am only involved in the ministry via the music and the podcasts, but that message still rings true today. Amazingly, God is still changing lives through Choice and I believe the scale of what God has done through the Passion Conferences is incredible. I can not even imagine the amazing work that God will do after 10 years of Passion Conferences going international. Thank you.
