Endurance

From sunny London....ooops, no rainy London....wait, no sunny London

Sure, it's just a plastic wristband (used to be yellow, so we're told, yet now is balmy white), but you have to give props to Eric in NC. Just goes to show that plastic is one of man's crowning achievements.

Hope your fall semester (or whatever you're headed into as August comes to a close) is going smashingly.

  • Mine has now survived a ten day hiking trip in the Smokies. It was also signed by Charlie Hall for a short time, but the Sharpie has worn off almost completely.

  • smashingly - now that's a great word :) hee

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone on the 268 team for the great work on the p06 dvd! It is very well done and thanks so much for making it available for such an affordable price. For all that's included it's very reasonably priced and you easily feel you could buy another to give away. The music and teaching segments are great and love the documentary portion for sharing what passion is about with others. Altogether, I'd call it smashing! ;)
    thanks so much
    blessings 268 team~

  • Yup European weather, I know all about it! It's freezing cold overhere...or at least that's what I think, I've alreasdy got a couple of weird looks from people at school, it's just that I was used to warm weather...
Did you guys notice the number of thunderstorms this summer? I guess I've been in a thunderstorm every week from july...Not only overhere but also when I was in the US. It sounds weird but I like thunderstorms...it makes me humble..My mom always said to my sibling and me when we were younger: if you hear the thunder, well that is God speaking to us.
I don't know if this is really true but thunder is a little bit terrifying(awesome!!) And our God is an awesome God.

  • Louie, do you have a recommended reading list? That would be a great blog post.

  • i'm sure you get these all the time but i felt compelled to share-
i am a stay at home mom of 4 month old twins- life gets a bit crazy with
two infants but i found the videos of Louie's talks online.. they have been
a great lifeline for me as i don't get much time to just sit and read- but
while i feed or while the twins take naps i have been able to watch the
talks- THANK YOU so much. Louie i feel like i can trust you because i know
you come before the throne before you preach- i remember at a Thirsty
conference you saying that you pray in "your closet"- that has
stuck with me from 2 or 3 years ago. And this relationship that you (and I)
have with Jesus is even so sweet and it comes out so much- especially
through the Unthinkable talks- thank you for showing me once again that
this relationship is precious-Thank you for using your gifts for God's
glory- thanks for the encouragement of your words through the Word of God.
    thank you!
