This Week At The Passion House

WE'RE STILL SEARCHING for the next Passion 07 promo video. Not sure if any of you out there are taking us up on the challenge, but we need you to help us by either making a great promo video for Passion 07 or getting this info to the video genius in your world who would love to be in the running. The winning video will be seen by thousands of people around the world, inspiring people to make the trek to Atlanta and flinging the Passion vision far and wide. The stuff you need to know is in the last Blog and on the main website. We're hoping someone is in full production mode right now!

FRIDAY THE 15TH the price for Passion 07 goes up twenty bucks! So, if you know you're coming, register before Friday and put that extra cash in your pocket. Registration continues to cruise along, with over 9050 people securing a spot in Atlanta so far.

SEE THE MORNING arrives on the scene in two weeks, bringing with it 11 new tracks from Chris Tomlin echoing the faithfulness of God. Clips of all the songs are posted now at  268Store.com. You're going to love it!

WE NEED YOUR PRAYERS as we lead this journey. Every year as August comes the adversity heats up and our team and families come under fire. Leading up to big Passion gatherings the blows intensify and, in past years the cost has been enormous. In that I'm not saying struggles aren't a part of everyone's lives...surely sickness and death are no respecter of persons. But the timing is like clockwork for our team, and each time a massive event is in sight we know almost exactly when the missiles will start to land. Several family members of our staff team have been diagnosed with serious stuff in the past few weeks and the daughter in law of a Board member has undergone surgery for brain cancer. We are praising God in the midst of it all (Yet will I praise you and rejoice in God my Savior), but we need more covering and are asking you to surround us with your prayers.

    I just wanted to let you know that you are all in my prayers! I appreciate all of the hard work that you do for me and my generation, and I can't even begin to express the gratitude I feel. I know that God can take even the worst of situations and create something beautiful, so I know that He will use you no matter what circumstances you may find yourselves in. I'm praying for you all!

  • Hey team, thank you all so much for all the behind the scene stuff that make passion conferences possible. I am praying for the team, that God would give you joy, strength and wisdom. and that we dont base God for who He is by how He answers our prayers but knowing His Word is the truth and He is God almighty, everything He does glorifies Him, no matter in times of trouble or joy.

Just wanted to let you know that I'm grateful for all the work you guys do to create an awesome atmosphere to meet with God. I met with God in a powerful way at Passion '06...and I know there are so many others who will benefit from what you are planning to do for '07.

  • Hey Passion Team,

    You will most certainly be in my prayers -- the work you have done and are doing is so essential and phenomenal: I have showed so many of my friends from school the pictures and videos from Passion06 and they have all been simply amazed.

    Caleb basically expressed what I wanted to say, and I wholeheartedly agree with him: God is working wonders through you all, and, to quote Matt Redman... "I can see a light that is coming for the heart that holds on!!!"

  • Yes, Lord, we're waiting eagerly for You at this very moment in time! Our hearts are anxious to join with each other once again, but we are also anxious to see You work in the lives of the Passion team. Do a work which they could only attribute to You. Be bigger in their lives than anything that they can touch, see, taste, smell, or hear - bigger even than the trials which they face. You alone are God, and for that we give You the glory! With all our love!

  • Passion Team,
    I wanted to let you all know how much everything you guys do means to me and my friends. Passion is an experience that we're looking forward to more than anything ever before. You guys rock, and you're in my prayers. I've been through quite a bit this year, a close friend with brain cancer and a close friend's death amongst other things, has been rough, so I feel your pain. I just feel compelled to offer what I learned through it all and that is that God works in our hearts through struggles. Hopefully He is preparing us for the greatest movement in His name in the history of the world.
    Can't wait for Atlanta

  • You all are in my prayers! I really appreciate all you all are doing to get prepared for all of us to have a wonderful experience at Passion 07. You know God is gonna do something big if you're facing all these trials. Just continue to remember that God is faithful and has the best plan in store even if we can't see it.

  • Hey 268gen~
    we'll be in prayer for the woman you mentioned.... for the whole Passion team & for your families...

    I'm sorry you are having trying times but I'm thankful you are praising Him in the storm... that is a great verse(Yet will I praise Him...)
    This reminds me of some obstacles that presented themselves last December before Passion... I hope it’s ok if I quote part of your post, it was such a thought provoking sentance- “But whatever drives us downward is a gift, because with our faces to the ground we are in the very best place we can be.” I'm not saying it's an easy sentance; but a good one to think on...that being said...

    He is our Shield... our Defender... our Strong Tower... our Healer... our Way-maker... our Strength... our Peace...our Joy... the Covenant Keeping God... the God for Whom Nothing is Impossible... God the Most High...The Lord Who is Present...

    The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our Fortress Ps 46:7

    The Lord is gracious & righteous; our God is full of compassion – Ps 116:5

    The Lord is my strength and my shield;
    in Him my heart trusts, and I am helped;
    my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to Him.
    Ps 28:7

    Don't be afraid, I’ve redeemed you. I’ve called your name. You’re mine. When you’re in over your head, I’ll be there with you. When you’re in rough waters, you will not go down. When you’re between a rock and a hard place, it won’t be a dead end – Because I am God, your personal God, the Holy of Israel, your Savior. I paid a huge price for you: all of Egypt, with rich Cush and Seba thrown in! That’s how much you mean to me! That’s how much I love you! I’d sell off the whole world just to get you back, trade the creation just for you. Is. 43:1-4 (Message)

    Our help is in the Name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth Ps 124:8

    I am still confident of this; I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord, be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. – Ps 27:13-14

    Because he holds fast to Me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows My Name. Ps 91:14

    you who fear Him, trust in the Lord - He is their help and shield Ps 115:11

    Let the morning bring me word of Your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in You Ps 143:8

    Thanks so much for all you are doing
    Blessings to you all 268gen~

  • Louie, the call for prayer reminds me of your post of 12/13/05 which you entited "Kneel." I found that so moving that I printed it off and have it in front of me as I write this.

    Your prayer on that post is just as apt today, and I shall continue to pray along those lines.

    May the Lord Jesus be glorified in all that is happening.

    "Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground. For your name's sake, O LORD, preserve my life; in your righteousness,bring me out of trouble. In your unfailing love, silence my enemies;destroy all my foes, for I am your servant. Psalm143:10-12

  • Louie, and all of the Passion Team,
    So true!!! so, so true!!! When God is getting ready to do soemthing huge, Satan is always right there trying to steal away at least a tiny sliver of the glory due His Name... but he cannot prevail, because Jesus Christ has already beaten him down. I have been and will continue praying His supernaturalness (if that's even a word), would shine through in every situation that arises....
    Love you all, in Him, jeanette

  • Louie & Passion Team,

    My parents and I live in Minneapolis, MN and God put it on our hearts in June to register to be volunteers for the Passion 07 conference (this will be our first time at a Passion conference).

    We've been praying together on a regular basis for everyone who will be involved and we expect God to do great things!!! We are confidant that He is going to move in a mighty way. We will continue to cover the Passion staff and all who will be involved with prayer. We love and appreciate you!!!!

    We also understand that the greater the move of God, the greater the adversity. I'm reminded of the three Hebrew children who were willing to stand for God and not bow to the idol knowing they would be thrown into the firey furnace. It wasn't until they actually stood in that furnace that God met them there and stood with them. As a result of their obedience, everyone had to acknowledge Him as the one and only true God worthy of worship!
    God's presence far outweighed the intensity of their trial.

    Be encouraged, no matter what firey trials we may face prior to January 1, God is going to pour out His spirit upon us during Passion 07. He cares more about what is going to happen in the hearts of all who will be involved than we can know. It is VERY IMPORTANT to Him!!!!!! He will be faithful to complete the work that He has started. I absolutely CANNOT WAIT to be a part of it!!!

  • Know that you are being held in intercessory prayer by many, thru the power of the Holy Spirit. All for the Glory of God!

    Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

    Word of Encouragment

    2 Corinthians 4:1-15

    Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;

    But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

    We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;

    Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;

    Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

    For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

    For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.

  • YES YES!! I will be praying too!! God is doing such a great thing though Passion, the enemy doesn't like it much. I pray that God will cover each one of you at Passion and your families. I pray that the plan of the enemy will be canceled in Jesus name and that each one of you will be filled to over flowing with His joy and power!!

    He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence. ps.91:1-3

  • Hey Louie,

    I just wanted to say a big thank you for all the incredible reveleations you allow The Lord to show through you. I am going back and watching your series "Tattoo", and today was the message Pure Light, which I had not heard yet. Let me just say that it was completely on target! The message of holiness (or "wholeness" ) is not a popular one but it is desperately needed. And what is so exciting is that you are beginning to hear now from many different sources which is always direct evidence of God moving. But what was especially great about the Pure Light message for me today is that just this morning The Holy Spirit had been teaching me about light and darkness and lots of different aspects of that, and your revelations on that were just a fantastic continuation! So thank you and be encouraged that even things that you have done that may not seem significant or seem like their day has come and gone- even those things are still being used by God to change lives!
    Still praying for you all,
    Aslan's Girl

  • No production here. Working a full-time and a mostly full-time job kinda puts a damper on producing any videos. I actually have 2 or 3 in line that I've promised. I preordered Chris's new cd when I bought P'06 DVD. Amazing. I've only had time to watch a little bit, but so far - I am blown away. My thoughts and prayers are with all. When I'm fixin' computers tomorrow (today I guess), I'll be thinking about y'all and those close. Love you guys.

    Keep on pressing on! And on a side note, I just signed up for Passion '07 ... thank you for believing in a generation of students that can do amazing things for God! I can't wait to see the ripples of what God will do in those days.
