The Neighborhood Is Getting Smaller

As we head toward Passion07, people are streaming towards Atl from all across the nation...and the world. As of today, students and student leaders are coming from every state except Nevada and South Dakota. Granted, there are not many people in SD and Nevada (just kidding!!), but we really do want to have them represented at this year's gathering. It's likely someone is coming from one of these states now, but they have registered with a group where the attend school so it hasn't shown up in the registration info.

But we're also going to have people from around the globe. Individuals and groups are coming from places like Canada, Ireland, Poland, England, South Africa, Romania, Slovakia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Japan, South Korea, (East Asia!), Australia, Mexico, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Ukraine, Holland, Malaysia, Botswana, Kenya, India, Cameroon and Afghanistan. Wow! And that's just the ones we know about! The neighborhood is getting a little smaller.

Obviously, the vast majority of people are coming from places like Michigan and Alabama, but I just wanted you to know that some are jumping through a lot of hoops to have the chance to experience the days of Passion07. It's not as easy to get to Georgia from Romania as it is from Toledo, and several of these groups (including the Romanians) are having major problems getting the visas they need to leave their countries.

Would you be willing to take one of the groups above and pray for them as they head to Atlanta? You probably don't know anything about them, but God does. And it would be amazing if you would just take one nation and pray all this week for those people, asking God to make a way for them. It's the least we can do.

The wave is growing into a global awakening!

  • I will pray...

This is huge, it seems. Kinda a God thing to do to gather his children from all corners of the earth to proclaim his name.

I think I've seen that in scripture before.

  • I'll be praying for those coming from East Asia and all over!

That is awesome how many countries and states people are coming from. I can't wait for the year that I will be old enough to join you guys. Passion is awesome and I can see the movemenet. I definitely agree that this is turning into a global awakening. Louie you are awesome. I can't explain how much you and that passion team and all those who come to the events mean to me.

Thank you for updating. I will be praying, praying, praying! It would be awesome if one day we would have people represented from all over the world, representing every country and nation and state!

God is great, he is moving, and he is awesome.

When passion takes on a purpose And searching ones embrace the light
When skeptics find themselves down on their knees
    You'll know it is here

And when the lost find a Name worth believing in
And the fallen get back onto their feet
When the broken start to dream again
And the sound of praise fills these streets
    You'll know it is here

It's the revolution, can you feel it?
    The revolution cry
It's the revolution, can you feel it?
    The revolution cry
    And I believe it!

    THANK YOU!

  • I was actually blessed with the opportunity to go to Romania this last summer on a mission trip. It was SOO awesome! I got to meet some of the students who had planned on coming to Passion06, but were not able to get visas. So this is definitely a big problem.

God is doing so many amazing things in Romania and in the lives of the college students. How awesome would it be to bring some of the Romanians to Passion07! Knowing the people, I would imagine the motivation they receive at Passion07 would go a long way as they go back to Romania and to a sphere of influence we could never hope to attain here in America. So I will definitely be praying for them as well as those of the other countries represented!!

  • I don't know, maybe it's cliche, but since there's a chance nobody might be thinking of this, I'm going to follow my burden to pray that Iraqis that want to come will find a way.

  • RIght on Anonymous! The list of "knowns" isn't to limit, but help. Thanks for reminding us to pray for the Iraqis, too. We all need more of God, therefore we all need prayer.

  • ISAIAH 43:5-7, "Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bring your children from the east and gather you from the west. I will say to the north, 'Give them up!' and to the south, 'Do not hold them back.' Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth- everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made."

    Dear Heavenly Father God,
We come before You asking You to continue to break the strongholds in our world. We are so excited to see Your Ancient Work coming to light! We pray for our brothers & sisters who are coming from around our world that You would grant them traveling mercies and that they would be able to overcome any obstacles in their journey to ATL. We pray for those who have not yet come to know You that You would continue to draw them unto Yourself. Thank You for Your amazing, unconditional love and that we can approach Your throne of grace with confidence because of the sacrifice of Your precious Son, Jesus Christ. We eagerly await to see all that You will continue to do...

  • Genesis 13: 14 The LORD said to Abram after Lot had parted from him, "Lift up your eyes from where you are and look north and south, east and west. 15 All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring forever. 16 I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth, so that if anyone could count the dust, then your offspring could be counted. 17 Go, walk through the length and breadth of the land, for I am giving it to you."

It was a big earth to Abraham; it's still just as big. I'm sure the population is bigger. I wonder if there's more dust, too? God is still the same size (really, really, really big). But guess what? The whole place is for us!!! Let's take it for HIS glory:)

I guess I'll cover some of Europe; maybe France, Germany, England, and Spain? It seems I'll be reminded of them at work a lot...

  • Isaiah 66:18-19 - "For I know their works and their thoughts; the time is coming to gather all nations and tongues. And they shall come and see my Glory. And I will set a sign among them to the nations: Tarshish, Put, Lud, Meshech, Rosh, Tubal, and Javan, to the distant coastlands that have neither heard My fame nor seen My glory. And they will declare My glory among the nations."

    Dear Heavenly Father,

I come before you to lift up the students from these many nations. Let the many obstacles and strongholds of this world and the enemy be cast aside. By the power and blood of Christ Jesus we have seen and continue to see victory. Lord I pray that the doors will open for the students from these nations, for them to come seek You, give You praise and glory; for their hearts, minds and souls to be open to Your word. That they may open their mouths wide to taste and see that you are good, Oh Lord. In your mighty name, I pray Lord Jesus. Amen!!

    In Christ,
    Donna
