In The Midst Of The Storm
We know there has been great loss in the storms from this past Tuesday, and our hearts go out to those who have suffered much. In the midst of the rubble that was once a dorm at Union University, this came today:
Hey,
I was in the tornado that hit Union University on Tuesday. I lost everything except some things that they may be able to recover from my room later. I lost my valuables, phone, IDs, Bible and my car which was totaled and all of my clothes and things for now. A friend brought by a package earlier today (I am absolutely amazed at all of the people everywhere who want to help. There are so many needs of all kinds and each of them are being met gradually.) In the package along with socks, pj's, etc. was the new Passion: God of this City CD. What a blessing in this time. Thank you!

We love you all who have been caught in the midst of these storms. God will never leave you, He holds you together in His hands- and this story was a great reminder of that. Our prayers are with you!
P.S. Louie, when I walked in at work this morning the first thing the lady I work for said was "we're listening to Louie Giglio on the radio". She and her two kids had been listening as you told Ashley's story and it really touched her heart. And then I come home this evening and find God of This City waiting in the mail- I am one happy camper! Thank you Passion House for being so prompt (and it looks incredible too :)!

this is what being a follower of Christ is all about...reaching out to others and helping them in their time of need. praying for UU.
What a blessing this Passion CD has already been and will continue to be. Some songs get me all teary eyed because I think back on those special moments in the arena. Praise God! He is so palpable there! and everywhere. Hallelujiah.
Praise Hosanna!
God bless UU and others affected in the storm.

hey thinking of you as you go through these testing times. May the God of our cities fill our hopes with peace, love and a passion to make his name known, even in the hard times.
Just bought God of our city, excellent.
Actually have the CD of the guys who wrote that song.
Bluetree from Northern Ireland... thier Album cover (Greater things) pictures the two huge cranes thats tower over our city here in Belfast N.I... named david and goliath.....
made me think of you across the pond who are facing hard times (maybe with the weather or just in general) that even though thinkgs look tough we have an amazing God, a Great God who is our sustainer, helper and friend.
(PS check thier CD its excellent)
In Gods Love.

Hey Louie
thanks so much for sharing the letter from Erin! so great to hear of her unexpected blessings :)
Praying for the many people in the states hit so hard by that massive tornado outbreak last week... Praying that God will continue to provide for their needs ...and draw each one nearer to Him, wherever they are right now in relationship to Him. That each person would see with certainty His hand in comfort and provision ...and that He will help them to in time rebuild better than before.

I just heard about LG at Bible study last Sunday and I just downloaded the podcast and as i was driving to a coffee shop to talk to my Christian friend to get some help and advice I was listening to your podcast for the first time and that was the first story i heard...it brought me to tears over the sadness and the beauty of the grace of God...its horrible how God gives us our trials and tribulations, but he blesses us so much more when he does in weird, obscure ways but we have to trust that he is an awesome God and that we are ALWAYS blessed by his grace...my prayers go out to Erin and the other students but praise Jesus that no one lost their lives...miracles happen when we need them the most...keep up your work Louie and keep your faith, it inspires me to keep on with forward motion.
A new listener,
DJ
PS: I am going to hopefully see you in Atlanta at Passions!
