Christina, I'll be there, as will about 4-5 other people from our staff... we're excited! What a great time of year to get away and refuel for a few days! =rg=
This doesn't have to do with the cd releases, but today I wanted to offer some encouragement for Passion ministries in general.
It's been almost 3 months since my feet hit the Nashville pavement, and I must say that God's influence in and throughout my life since that moment has taken off with tremendous flight! I made two commitements at Passion: to pray Beth Moore's daily prayer for one year that "Jesus Christ be the #1 desire of my heart," and to also read the Word on a daily basis. So far, so good, and I can honestly say that I am changed.
I've grown up in the church, but never realized until now just how living and active is the Word of God.
I'm witnessing to others in my art classes as we sculpt clay together in the studio late into the nights. I've never been a "witnesser." I'm overflowing with a passion for the Word that is undeniably from the giver of life. My satisfaction has truly produced such glorification, as you (Louie) said that it would.
I am so thankful for Passion and how my relationship with the Lord has been forever changed as a result. From Beth Moore's emphasis on the Word and a passion for a relationship, to Piper's focus on the cross and a reorienting of the brain to fit God's standards instead of the world's, finally to Louie's talk on our satisfaction equalling His glorification...I am still daily growing from such Sprited talks. Passion truly is so much more than an event. It's a movement, and I am so grateful for every person who works so hard to bring it to college students worldwide.
So if anyone coordinating the conference ever doubts the movement or wonders if all their work is in vain, I hope this one small testimony will serve as a source of strenth and endurance for finishing the race.
Very nice clip... just saw them a couple of days ago in Kansas City. They never disappoint, do they!? Have fun in Hawaii and So Cal. Can't wait for the release! Hb
