Up Close With Crowder

DC*B rocked the FedEx Forum in Memphis last weekend, along with tourmates, and our pals, Third Day. It was my first time to see the guys on the "Wherever You Are Tour" and it was amazing. Classic Crowder! DC*B opens the night in an undignified (good undignified) way and never looks back. There's also a fun treat with David, Jack and Hogan in the middle of Third Day's set you don't want to miss.

A few songs into their set I was thinking this is going to look great on the Blog.
Then I remembered my camera was in Shelley's purse on the Crowder bus...and though quick, I didn't want to miss one song to get it.

So, we took a few pics on the bus after. We (mostly DC's nephews) took quite a few. My new four year old friend snapped this close up of Uncle David from about ten inches away. [That's his brother's ear, by the way--no, not David's brother's ear--but David's brother's son's ear!]

The Tour lands in enchanted New Mexico tomorrow before heading to Vegas. Check out the schedule and go support the Crowder boys when they come to a city near you.

PS-Interesting item on Crowder's bus.

  • Interesting pictures, Louie.

  • Yes! DCB and Third Day will be here in about 50 hours! Me, along with several sisters and brothers will be crowding The House of Blues at the Mandalay Bay to praise our Lord high and loud....in a very secular place no less. Love it, love it, love it!!!

Sorry to make you all jealous...hope you're able to do the same in your city. If not, hop in the car and join us here in Vegas! The more the merrier :)

  • Man...I wish the tour was coming around the fort smith, arkansas area...

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 3/08/2006 1:14 PM

  • We saw the tour when it came through IA - it was FABULOUS - we even made signs to try and get Crowder to sing "Everything Glorious" - he saw our signs but we were denied the song :(! So it was fun that it happened to be the first song you put up on the blog! My friend Dave (a "closet" Crowder fan) is a new favorite of Crowders' - being that they share the same name ;)! Both Crowder and Third Day were great - the IA crowd really got into it and made the night and the concert experience amazing - so if it's coming near you - GO!

  • wow, leave it to nephews and nieces to really show your true colors., dont know if any of you remember the old days of Saturday Night Live, when they had the cartoon clay guy, "Mr. Bill" well, if you do , all i can say is that pic looks like Dave is saying "oh noooooooooo"!!!!!!!

  • I can't wait for the tour to get here to Atlanta and the Fox Theatre... it's gonna be a great one! Glad that things are going well on the tour for the guys... Mac Powell was actually at 722 here in Atlanta last night and he said that they were really enjoying hanging out with the Crowder guys on tour!
Oh... and for those that haven't noticed yet... there are samples for the entire Everything Glorious CD in the 268Store. They sound amazing and leave me really wanting this month to fly by!

  • Yeah the close up crowder and the comb mac pictures were great. My sister took a close up of me like that when we were in CA but I didn't know it was a close up til we got the pictures back. She wasn't standing that close to me (smile) The pictures made for a great laugh. Unfortunately I will miss the concert in GA. Will have to wait til Passion 07.

  • I'm so excited that DC*B and Third Day will be in SC in less than a month!!! I won't be able to go because we've got 200-300 high school students coming to my school for a "church camp" type weekend that weekend! Oh well, I guess I'll live...

  • LOUIE & 268 GENERATION!!!!!

I had a prayer request for you and the passion team if you could please mention it. As you know spring break is a craz time of year for college students, there is a lot of temptation and the way I see it a great time to minister. The week of March 20-27 a group of about 45 of us (college and singles) are going to Daytona Beach and staying at the La Quinta and basically providing an alternative party for spring breakers to attend. We provide free everything: food, drink (non alcholic), games and things like hair wraps and henna (which if you know these things can be up to 20 dollars)and the purpose is to share the love that our father has given to us. It is a mini mission trip that we really allow the question "Why" to reveal the true glory of God to those who seek to find our hearts in providing the service that we do. You always mention that passion is a movement and if you could just pray that HE will move through Daytona that week and that all the missionaries there are able to humble themselves to the glorification of our Father. The mission trip is called "Spring Harvest" and this is my second year doing, it is amazing what God can do through college students just by showing His love. Allow us to live and love for His RENOWN!!! Thank you for your time.
If anyone wants to email me a small prayer I could share with the other missionaries my email is

Please be a Part of this in prayer we are all the 268 Generation lets leave a mark for Him name.

  • Let's surround Louie and the Passion team as they prepare for Thirsty06 at the end of this month!

Thanks for everything that you are doing through Passion. Help our leaders to get a fresh annointing at Thirsty06 and be ready to lead again. Please be with the Passion team as they finish the planning!

  • Brittany & Friends,

I was really touched by your request for prayer. What a HUGE and God-centered ministry you all are providing during such a spiritually and physically dangerous time in the MECCA of 'spring break'.

"Father God...I pray blessings, strength, and protection for those that wish to proclaim the name of your Son Jesus during the week of spring break. May you grant favor to those who's hearts are focused on you and seeing souls come into your Kingdom. Bless their courage Father. They are choosing to be your light in the darkness and to be salt on the Earth. All praise, glory, and honor be to You...amen"

Please report His success and praise when it's over!

    For His Glory,
    A Sister in Christ
