Everything Glorious Listening Party!

OK guys, you've waited long enough. The Passion: Everything Glorious project is finished and will be in stores everywhere in one more month. But, that's still a long time to sit quietly by, and the iTunes Bundle well has run dry, so starting tomorrow we will have a little Friday listening party here on the 268Blog each week until 4.4.06. The offerings will be short (has to be that way), but you will get a true taste of what's to come.

The track listing, as some of you have now heard, is pretty amazing. And, just so you'll know, we have heard you on "Come and Listen," and we agree that it's a killer track and was a
profound way to open and close the conference. But given DCB opens A Collision with it we really didn't want to open this new project with it, as well. So, we'll all have to savor the memory and maybe look for it as an exclusive somewhere down the road. The CD sounds incredible...just like you are there. And it's over 70 minutes long.

Everything Glorious =
Awesome Is The Lord Most High - CT

Tune in tomorrow for sampling #1.

  • Hey Louie... thanks for at least hearing us on the "Come and Listen" thing... an iTunes exclusive would be much appreciated at some point... thanks for all you guys do... echoing Katie's sentiments from your last post, I can't wait to live the days BETWEEN now and next year's Passion for the glory of God... boy, imagine if 18,000 of lived each day between now and next January for His glory... what a celebration it would be when we all arrived back to report the good news!!!

PS: I say this totally in good fun, but... Tomlin's "Noise We Make" opened up his "Noise We Make" CD AND "One Day Live" (only the track was called "This Field," but the song was the same)... so it wouldn't have been without precedent to open with the DCB tune, haha... :)

  • YAY! you guys should have a special EP with come and listen on it.

  • hey guys... let's also remember Louie's challenge from Passion 06 to bring as many non-believing friends to Passion 07 as we can and pray that they encounter the Most High God! Passion isn't just for Christians -- let's start praying now for the undecided who will attend. Let's pack the arena with people who are not aware of HIS name and renown. Until then, each day let's live our lives in such a way that they may encounter the Most High God through us! Louie said at Passion 05 that the sun shines the brightest when the moon is in the right place -- let's be in the right place to shine Jesus oh so brightly to our individual worlds. Passion is, after all, where we are, not just in Nashville or Atlanta. As we anticipate being together again, let's not forget Katie's reminder to know Him and make Him known.

    Jesus shine in us.

  • LOUIE!!!!! You guys rock! Thanks you for putting "How Marvelous, How Wonderful" on the new CD. It's my favorite hymn. And... "Our God Reigns" sung by all four? IT HAD TO BE DONE THIS WAY! What a statement, to see those guys sign that song together. He has made everything glorious!

  • Passion 07 is gonna be my first time and I am bringing a friend who is no yet a believer but finds Passion a pretty awesome event (all the music and stuff)! I didn't know Louie had the call for more non-believing friends! I am so happy that Passion has open arms to those people too! Glory to Him and let's pray He will do even greater things next year!!!

  • Great choices...but can't help but feel sad that there's only one Redman song on there. Anyone know why?

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 3/04/2006 11:10 PM

  • Anonymous at 3/04/2006 11:10pm,

To my recollection, Matt only led one main session worship time and only introduced that one song as a 'new' song. The other songs he led were "Blessed Be Your Name", "Dancing Generation", "All Over the World", "Our God Reigns", and maybe a few other well-known songs. No worries though, "You Never Let Go (Even Though I Walk)" is a great song -- very well written, almost hymn-like, presented with a very full and rich sound.

    -----

As for the "Come and Listen" debate, I would love to hear it! As recorded on "A Collision" album, it's David with a piano and a wharped-out voice introduction -- at Passion, it was David's non-wonky voice and his Crowdster acoustic which is two completely different voicings of the same song. Plus, I sadly missed the opening session as my connecting flight to Nashville was cancelled :(, so it would be GREAT to hear it :D

    "My eyes are small,
    But they have seen,
    The beauty of enormous things,

    Which leads me to believe,
    There's light enough to see:

    You make everything glorious!"

    How marvelous, how wonderful,
is my Saviour's love for me,
