Here!

The sun is out, the sky brilliant blue, as students are pouring into ATL from all over the world. Passion 07 is here! It's on.

It was a crazy night of merriment as hundreds of thousands filled downtown for New Year's Eve last night. There was much partying by all in the hotels, so not a lot of sleep for those of us who have a massive week ahead. But, by the looks of it, I still think I feel better than most of the late night partiers I saw COMING IN as I left the hotel at 7 AM.

Towels and socks are already appearing as the 1000+ volunteers checked in this morning. Beautiful! Apparently Phillips has a nice lingering odor after WP the last two nights. Pray for the cleaning crew and the air ducts!

Honestly, I'm ready for things to start right now. So much anticipation. Let's get it rolling and see what's going to happen.

For you guys who couldn't get here, the first session will hopefully stream at 268Generation.com around 1 AM EST.

    I wish I could have been there with you guys this year. I am pumped to learn that I can watch on the web stream. Thanks for making that available to those of us who can't be there with you.

    I am praying for you guys who are there and am anxious to her what God is doing in your midst.

  • Man I have been so bummed about not being there this year. Thinking about all the things I'll miss, from the energy and excitement, the feeling of God's stirring in our midst, to the great times of connecting with other leaders in the leaders community group, I think the thing I'll miss most is taking college students and seeing them changed.

    Thank you for thinking of us with the webstream. We are definitely praying for you.

  • Lord fill passion 07 with yourself!
    As songs are sung, as messages go forth, hearts and emotions are raised, may it be all in & by & through the Spirit of Christ!
    For all the volunteers I pray that you will give them joy as they serve You and all the students, making this happen!
    For Louie, John, Francis, Beth, Chris, Matt, Charlie, David, Tim, and all who minister on main stage or in the community groups etc would You be pleased Father to use them to uplllift the name "Jesus" to planet Earth! Over the next few days may the name and renown of Your son be magnified, students changed and set free that they might affect this planet in Your name!
    For towels and socks; may it have a ripple effect that the homless of Atlanta may know that Your people care because You care!
    In all the endevours of Passion 07 magnify Yourself mightily and as the future unfolds in the days ahead may we reach our communities, our citys, countries and every nation, tribe and tongue with the Good news of Jesus Christ!
    May you stirr a PASSION for JEsus over these days!

  • As I've been drivin' around town today, runnin' errands and getting ready for Passion, I've been listening to the cd from last year's gathering (with the lovely addition of "Come and Listen" from the "Best of Passion (so far)" cd, that y'all were so kind to include)... I share in everyone's enthusiasm for what God will accomplish in and through us this week.

    Can't wait to see you all in a few hours!

    Thank you so very much for the webstream.

    I pray that God will send showers of grace to everyone in Atlanta, for His name's sake...and that the gospel will spread to different cities all over the world.

    O, praise Him for the wonders of His grace, and for the wonders of the cross.

    I pray specifically that He will be glorified in Atlanta in differing relationships among believers, that He will give grace to mortify sin in the lives of the students that are there, and that He would turn the hearts of the students at all of our campuses toward Jesus the Christ, that they may have eternal life---that is, that they may know the most wonderful God in the face of His Radiant Son.

    I'm from Australia, so pumped as we too are having a massive youth conference this week...so pumped that there will not only be thousands of young people worshipping here, but also around the globe!!

  • Hi everyone, Louie, guys, the Webstream is an answer to my prayers. God is blessing you already! Passion 07, an example of a sign and wonder that no one but God could ever do. I just want to be a part of the MOVEMENT. Pray that it goes out in Holy Spirit power through the Webstream to all of us, wherever we are watching it, in our rooms, libraries, cafes, trains, to include us. I want to be "In the tent" like the other elders. But if God will hear my prayer and meet me in the camp where I am instead, I hope one of us is worth that Lord .

  • i will be viewing from Charlotte, NC... not to far away from atlanta... wish i could've been there tho.

    i'm kinda bummed about there being no passion 08... b/c i'm going to college next year, and i probally will never experience the passion conference... and i was looking foward to it all through high school... but oh well... i'm sure theres gonna be more oppurtunites down the road. i know there will.

    praise God for PASSION! (and web streams of course)
