I want to leave a monograph about Passion Chicago here, but all I have time to say (sitting in my hotel) is that on Friday night I thought "but God has brought me out of my pit. I'm not in a pit anymore." How can I start changing again? I'm already out of the pit. And then when Matt started singing about God being the God of yesterday, today, and tomorrow, I realized I was thinking of God as the God of yesterday, and that I do have pits in my life, and they may not be as obvious to me or others, but they are there, and since God is the God of today, he delivers me from those too, and that since he's the God of tomorrow, he will continue to deliver me when I try to get back in them.
such an amazing experience! i am a high school senior, and went with my church, and i just felt so welcomed by all the college students there, and i cant even describe the presence of the spirit of God that i felt there! AMAZING!
i do have a question though...what is that song called that Matt Redman sang that has the lyrics about God being there for us yesterday, today and tomorrow?
WOW!!! Hosanna in the Highest, Sing, Sing, Sing, and make music in the Heavens....God is Mighty to Save, WOW, much is going to be done in this city, through Christ! It was phenomenal worship--to the only true God--be all honor, and praise!!
I just wanted to say that this weekend changed my life forever! =) I never felt God more then I did this weekend!! It feels so amazing, thanks for touching my heart and making me realize that I need Jesus back in my Life. Louie, John, Chris Tomlin, and Matt Redman, and of course the drummer. You guys are awesome! Once again, Thank-you an amazing weekend in Chicago! ~Elisabeth Grand Haven, MI
Well Chicago, I must say that this weekend absolutely BLEW my mind! I've never been to a Passion conference before, but I have attended other events like this. Passion was unlike any of those - I can truly, honestly say that there are so many things that I have already carried away that will permanently change the way I live (which in turn will affect those around me.)
It's 5:52 the day after Chicago passion, our group got in at 6:30 this morning and we all have yet to sleep. So forgive me if this turns slightly emotional :)
As I'm sitting here listening to the Boston podcast, Louie asks the students of Boston whether anyone there loves Jesus, and their response brings tears to my eyes. To hear so many people excited to be in Christ's love is a huge source of encouragment, and serves as a reminder that there is NOTHING that is impossible for a surrendered generation. It's such a thrill coming from Chicago and experiencing that absolutely amazing love that was tangible in the crowd, listening to thousands of voices rising in volume to glorify and pray to God, to hear Boston's response and know that He is most certainly at work in our generation.
Thank you so much Boston for praying for us! We're praying for you, and for Sao Paolo, for the international cities on next year's tour and for the rest of the students that will hit the U.S. passion tours!

Louie, I am so pleased I ran into you this morning, getting to tell you what a difference God has made in my life, using you and the Passion movement, was a great way to end the weekend, and I'm totally psyched that your voicepost did work and go through, and here is the link to my blog: http://morganmalfoy.livejournal.com/557924.html
Wish I could have been there. Once again it sounded like exactly what I could have used, and could have been used.
I thank God that He is the God of my tomorrow!!! that does bring me much relief to know. thanks Louie and team again for your faithfulness for His name sake.
sooo....this was my 3rd passion event and i'm still speechless. The Lord was so good this weekend and I'm so thankful for what He is doing among college students. It almost makes me sad to graduate this may...but I won't go that far.ha. anyway, one of the things the Lord laid on my heart this weekend was Dubai. I have no idea what that means but I think I might see ya'll there. That's all I know for now but I'm super pumped. Thank you thank you for your obedience to the Lord.
Wow! Thats really all I have... I'm at a loss for words! I've been to Passion in Nashville and Atlanta and didn't really know what to expect this weekend with the much smaller crowd but I was blown away! Us midwesterners can rock for the Lord! It was so loud in there on the last session on Sunday night and God was working in some powerful amazing ways! This weekend impacted my life in a powerful way and I'm so excited to take it back to my campus and shine for Him!
What an amazing weekend! I didn't want to leave after the last session was over. I've been to similar events aimed at high school students, but Passion was a whole new experience for me. It was deeper, more fulfilling. This weekend was exactly what I needed to get back on track with God. Thank you!
Praise God for this past weekend. I'm full! and ready to be poured out to be filled again! Thanks Louie for your messages. My wife talked about them the whole drive home (9 hours) to Toronto.
I'd never been to Passion or an event like it but leaving the Sears Center Saturday night was so hard for me. I felt GOD'S Presence more in those two days than in my whole life. I just turned 23 and I still don't know where I'm going but because of Passion, I know that where ever I am going GOD will be there and HE is sooo Welcome. Lougie, Chris, Christopher, Matt and everyone at Passion..words can't express how thankful I am for what you're doing and you've untterly changed my life because if it wasn't for Passion GOD wouldn't have been able to do the work in me that HE has. I have sooo much that I could say but all I can say is THANK YOU!
does anyone remember the words for Sing Sing Sing? I can only remember the chorus...but I want to start singing it at my school! email me if you remember...thanks!
God is amazing, real, and patient. i'm so excited about what god is doing in the world. im praying, seeking, hoping and trusting. yay god and letting us be involved in his awesome plan. and one more yay for new music to sing to him can't wait 'til a cd comes so i can remember all the words. ;)
God Bless the Passion Team. This weekend was absolutely amazing. I'll be praying for the Passion Team and their work ahead.
Also, I don't know who will read this but during the final session, I was in the front and when we got into the triangles to pray there was a young girl that I prayed with and I would like to talk to her. I was touched by the opportunity to pray with a sister in Christ that I did not know. If she reads this or someone knows her, please respond.
This weekend was AWESOME!!!!! I hope You guys come back to the good old USA in 2009 or so!!! Amazing time of worship, AWESOME messages...challenging ideas it was just AWESOME!!!!
The weekend was absolutely AMAZING! Thanks Louie, thanks Chris, thanks Matt, and many many others on the Passion team! I pray that this is not just a spiritual high for the next few days, but all that happened over the weekend will sink in and change our lives for the days to come!
I really thank God for the hope that comes in seeing/hearing so much energy put forth for his pleasure and fame.
As a student in art school in downtown Indianapolis, I feel like I see people's "innards" or their souls/hearts more than most. I see a great deal of art from my classmates (which I believe is largely the outpouring of the soul) that translates to me as depleted of hope, confused, and just wanting to rebel. And so it seems that artistic energy in my world has felt dismal and frustrating. Not as it should be. And there's something in me that knows there is more that it could be. C.S. Lewis said something like Christianity does not eliminate the arts, but sets them in the direction that they were made to go.
This weekend's Chicago Passion helped me celebrate what our creativities were made for...and I THANK GOD for your arts (music, visual, etc.) and how you have embraced them. I hope my paintings meet their potential just the same.
