28 Day Journey-Day Twenty Eight
Happy New Year!
Sunday 1//1//2006
28 Tiny Pieces, Huge Story
Well, it's New Year somewhere, though not in Nashville...yet. Twenty four more minutes till 12:00AM CST. But the Passion Team is done for the day and most of us aren't going to party too hard at midnight. Our Australian friends are headed into January 2 already, while you West Coast guys have a few hours to go to 2006. But whatever time zone you're in, Happy New Year!
It's our last day of the Journey. One day to Passion 06, and we are so ready. I have no idea what it's like to be with child, but I do know what it feels like to carry a vision like Passion 06 for nine months and want to have the baby. Now!
Today, we are mindful that Passion is just a little tiny piece of God's huge work among college and university students around the globe. Close by, Campus Outreach is hosting one of their regional conferences in a downtown Nashville hotel. They have another gathering happening in Atlanta (and maybe more) and Campus Crusade has conferences happening all across the nation. And these are just some of the college events going on in the US and around the world, of which Passion is just one.
God's kingdom is bigger than any of us can imagine. It would floor us if we could see all He's doing among the peoples of the earth. By grace, He has come for us, redeeming us to join His forever story...little, loved people in His amazing epic.
Father, I am so humbled to be invited into Your enduring kingdom. To have the chance to play a small role is a gift beyond words. Thank you for the 365 days of 2005. I don't take them for granted, nor do I assume I will have all 365 in 2006. But in those I do receive, please give me the grace to treasure you first in my thoughts, emotions and actions. I'm thrilled to be in Your story Jesus, Amen.
Through the day, and the year
PS-Give us a "Happy New Year" shout and let us know what city and timezone you're in!

I just want to thank you (Louie, and all the Passion Staff) for having a heart for college students. Thank you for taking time out of your busy lives to invest time in us, and Passion, and this Prayer Journey. I never thought this Prayer Journey would bless me as much as it has. God has been really working in my heart and preparing me for Passion through this Prayer Guide. I can't wait to arrive in Nashville early Monday morning. God is going to do amazing things this week!
Lately, I've been thinking about Michael W. Smith's song I See You.
"Everywhere I go I see You" is so true. I see Him everywhere I go. And I see Him through your ministry, and all yall have done for us. Thank you so much!! See you in Nashville.
Happy New Year!!
God Bless.

Dear Lord, I just want to thank You for all You do. Thank you for the Passion staff, and all of the people volunteering to make Passion '06 possible. Lord, I pray for safety for all those who are traveling, and I pray that your people will prepared to meet with You. I pray that You will speak to each person's heart Lord. I also pray Father, that You would bless the hearts of the students attending, the Passion Staff, and the volunteers. May Your will be done this week. We love You Lord.
In Christ's Name I pray, Amen.

"Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others."
Romans 12:4-5
"The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ." I Corinthians 12:12
Thanks for the incredible journey of preparation. Though Passion is just one part of God's vast kingdom, where would we be without it? Thank you for your humble obedience and your visionary leadership.

Both of my children are headed to Nashville with a good friend as I write.
I am so grateful that my 21 year-old daughter and and 18 year-old son discovered that "tiny little piece of God's huge work" called PASSION last year. This conference fanned the flame of God's spirit in each of their hearts and I look forward to seeing what He has in store for them this year.
How cool it must be to experience 18,000 young adults entering Nashville singing God's praises! The battle is already won and God will perform many miracles this week.
May God bless EVERYONE involved in planning, praying for, & participating in Passion 06.
God is good!
Happy New Year!

Louie, I wanted to thank you for this 28 day journey; it has been very thought (&prayer) provoking.
I'm really going to miss the 268gen postings; I hope we'll still see 268gen postings fairly often after Passion is over this year; please let us know what your thoughts are, how we can pray for you guys, and what's going on...
Passion-ies - Know that we will be praying for all of you this week:
for those in leadership/ volunteering -to be refreshed and to be used as the Lord wishes; for all the logistical and technical aspects of such a large event; for the students - seeking hearts, opened eyes, no distractions, that God will accomplish everything He wants to in each heart present; and provide many opportunites to share what they have received with others afterwards.
Can't wait to see what He does in 2006!
Blessings to each of you!
Kim

Louie and Chris~
I want you to know I'm praying for you both specifically, as well as the entire Passion team. I have been thinking of you non-stop all week!!
God has placed you both on my heart recently. Perhaps because in the recent past I learned the timeline of when you two met. Since Chris and I are the same age and were probably in college at the same time, I think you may have met around the same time I was attending Baylor University (1992-1994) and CHOICE.
What rewarding opportunities you have both experienced in your journey. No wonder blessings are being poured upon you both as you keep the most important One in the forefront of your vision, seeking to bring Him fame and not your selves. It would be such a blessing to get to meet you both!
I don't know if the Indescribable tour is planning on making its way to the San Francisco Bay Area where I live, but I will definitely be there, if you are in the vicinity.
As one who is seeking to also make it more and more about Him and less and less about me, I thank you for letting Him use you, for dedicating your life to Him and for encouraging others into a deeper relationship with Him.
Louie...you were an inspiration back in my Baylor days and continue to be with your unwavering faith.
Chris...and remember I'm 33, so I really don't mean this to be trite or juvenile, but a genuine compliment...it is refreshing, as a still single person, to know there is such a Godly man out there with a passion for Him, that is also very attractive, funny and a good dresser! And that's not too bad at....okay awesome at...singing, playing the guitar and writing songs for the Lord! :)
God's Blessings,
Tiffani

I wait for the LORD, my soul does wait, and in His word do I hope. My soul waits for the LORD more than the watchmen for the morning; indeed, more than the watchmen for the morning. O Israel, hope in the LORD; for with the LORD there is lovingkindness, and with Him is abundant redemption.
Psalm 130:5-7
