2520, 301 and 1

The Passion Movement is gaining momentum as more and more of us are seeking to leverage our moments on earth for His fame. While everyone spends their hours and days making much of something, a generation is emerging with a desire to make much of the One who truly should be made much of.

More than events, our large gatherings are a touch point for people with a similar heartbeat for the supremacy of Christ and His renown...a generation seeking to make Him known to all people by any means possible. It's something about that pure core that make Passion gatherings what they are, Godward moments fueling Godward lives.

Nashville rocked us and we don't know what Atlanta will hold. What we do know is that you want to be there! Our marketing is not all that slick or extensive (almost nil at this point), yet 2520
of you have already staked your place at Passion 07. In an e-mail from a mom last week she told us her son got Passion 07 for his birthday. Apparently, it's all he asked for. So, he's now one of the 2520... which is 520 more than all those gathered at our first national conference in 1997.

So when we do the math [College students = last minute planners + Passion 07 is next January + 2520 are registered on 3/6] we know something special is happening and we celebrate. Yet, there is a more important number to consider. 301
. Three hundred and one. The number of days between now and the opening session of Passion 07. Yep, 301 Days! And these 301 days will be the ones that show what the movement is all about... that will validate what happened in Nashville as a God-event and not just a people-event. 301 days for the world to see that He is as satisfying as we say He is.

God can do more in 24 hours than we can ask or imagine. In one day God can change a nation. What can He do through a wave of yielded hearts in 301 x 24 hours? Looking ahead is not wrong at all. Unless it cause us to miss today. Like James reminds us, "Now listen, you who say, 'Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city....' Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, 'If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that.'" James 4:13-15.

We're working full speed on Passion 07 today (and it looks like if you want to join us you'll need to figure that out sooner, rather than later!), but by His grace let's make much of Him while we can...today!

Embracing with much joy 2520, 301 and 1.
Louie

  • how many people can the philips arena hold?

i can tell this is truly a god breathed movement.

i've never felt such conviction about something more then the foundation of passion.

not to say my passion overwrites my purpose, but that i believe this is worship and glory given to it's rightful owner.

and well... i think you all are swell

    all 18,000 plus of you

  • That's pretty awesome... it's cool to be thinking about how awesome Atlanta is going to be in just 301 days. I'm already praying about our time in Atlanta and that it will be an amazing 4 days where we lift up the Glorious one and learn more and more about how we can live according to His will. Can't wait for 07 in Atlanta!

  • i'm so glad you guys are excited about passion '07. as an old timer (i was at oneday 00 and '03) it's exciting to see another generation being raised up as other generations are sent out. but, i think what louie was communicating was more about today than about passion '07. challenging us to continue to think, "how can God work in and through my life as i sit in a coffee shop TODAY. what part of His story will He invite me into today that is a part of His kingdom coming on earth. and...how can i be radically God-centered in a culture of spring-break craziness happening all-around me." taking paul at his words when he says that the life he now lives, he lives by faith in Jesus Christ. not the life that he hopes to live in a year.

  • It is so awesome that so many people have registered within only 6 days. Let's start praying today for all who will be attending Passion 07, and come together united by our love for God and his people that he will speak, change lives, change history, and do many other awesome things through this event.
For where 2 or 3 (or more) are gathered in my name (God), there I am!

I Timothy 4:12 - Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.

  • Thanks Louie for the reminder about today. I am super excited about Passion 07 but I can't wait to see what tomorrow might hold, or next week, or next month. Thanks for the reminder to not miss today.

  • wow, at this rate the event will be sold out soon here is the math
phillips holds 21,000 (according to website)
    420 people registered per day
    equals 50 days to sold out=april 19

but that is not whats important now, although it is nice to imagine the future and get excited about Passion 07 here is some other math to consider

    301*24=7224 moments to change lives
    7224 moments to change history
7224 to live out Isaiah 26:8 and LIVE for the 1

  • My world was rocked @ Passion 05! I was over the age limit for P06 so I did not attend. HOWEVER...

My little sister is graduating high school this year and I am convinced there is no better gift I can give her than a trip to P07. Of corse I will be attending as her "leader".....is that ok?

Traveling from California will be costly but well worth it.

When it comes to a soul being awakened to the All Glorious God there is absolutely no price to high!!!!

  • Mr. Louie,

Thank you SO much for reminding us that we need to live for what we have today. That we need to do what we can today for the Glory of God!

When I went to P06 two months ago, I had just moved back home after being gone for nearly 3.5 years. I haven't been in college for the last year and a half... and since I returned home, I haven't had a job either. I've become quite discouraged because I haven't been forced outside my safe little bubble with all of my Christian friends. Tomorrow, I am starting a new job with people I have never met. I don't know if there are other Christians that work there. I hope that there are. But I do know this... I am going to use the time I have to make much of Him. I am going to seek His face in hopes of making His fame known to those I work with.

Thanks for reminding me to make much of the One who truly should be made much of.

Say a prayer for me if you will guys.

    For HIS Glory,
    Andrea

  • "Dear God, please show me how to put to good use the gifts you have given me so I can have a part in what you are doing in the world in which I live today. May I never waste what you have given to me to give. Thank you for hearing and answering my prayer. Gratefully, in Jesus' name, amen."
