Well, well, well. Today has finally come and Passion: Everything Glorious is on store shelves all across this fine nation. As we have heard, a few lucky campers got yours a bit early in the mail! But today's the day everyone can listen together--north, south, east and west--so let's turn it up and let the songs echo across the land!

I read a really great review today that really seem to grasp the heartbeat of what Passion and this CD are all about. The production is amazing, but not over-cooked, making the music great while holding onto the vibe we shared together in the GEC.

We'd love to hear your thoughts and any cool EG stories that are out there. And while we're here, can I just say thanks to a few people you might never meet, but who were priceless in the journey of bring this CD to you:

Producer, friend and musical genius-Nathan Nockels.
The CD was recorded and mixed by Shane Wilson.
Mark T. mixed the live sound at Passio06 and was joined by an amazing tech crew.
Brad O'Donnell helped shape the project on the EMI side.
Gary Dorsey is responsible for the cool pink and brown Passion06 logo, look and feel.
Shelley was the rock beneath it all and connected all the dots.
Every musician/vocalist who brought their artistry and passion to the table.

I know Chris, David, Charlie, Matt, Christy and Kristian will get much of the thanks...which they so deserve. But Everything Glorious was a family event, and many, many people made it happen. Thank you everyone, and thank you Jesus. You became nothing so that we could become glorious. There are not enough songs, moments, days, anthems to do you justice.

Turn it up!

PS-4/4 Update at 2:19 CST
Well, once again our friends at iTunes have left us wanting. It's not that we haven't given them lots of love during the past few months.....but we can't quite seem to launch without a flaw. A) the track listing is not there. You can find it at 268Store.com. itunes has added a 2 minutes glimpse video from 06 that we produced as a bonus.....it's amazing frames of the gathering for those of you who have been looking at pictures in your mind and would love to see some moving images again. B) the first track (Awesome Is The Lord Most High) skips. Bummer. Strong opening, huh? We are talking to our people, but things, as we have learned, move slowly at iTunes so I'm not sure when a fix will happen. I just downloaded and had the same problem. Go to http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/musicstore/songs/ and fill out the form there. It's a bit of a pain, but let's let them know en mass what's up and see f they can speed along a solution. We apologize to all who have anxiously waited. Buy now. Enjoy the other 12 1/2 tracks and a refund and clean version will be on the way to you soon.

  • when will this be available on itunes????

  • Louie,
The last line that you wrote is so, so true. What a great live CD-that actually sounds live. Thank you for all that you do for the Kingdom.
For about 30 minutes last night, I felt as if I was still back in Nashville, and I couldnt believe that it was April. It will moreso, however, serve to remind me of the purpose of my days now, and encourage me to live every moment for His Glory.
I am praying for you guys at GMA. How did Sunday night go at the Ryman?

  • Hey Louie, I"ve just got the Chritian Bookstore catalogue here today in Melbourne and on the front is "Everything Glorious "!!!!

Good for you ,bad for me.!!! I am waiting for our copy form the 268 Store as we thought it would be out later in Australia like the other Passion releases have been in the past.

Well done on getting front page coverage. Passion is just mushrooming and we pray that Jesus is glorified in all the wonderful new music.

By Blogger gail, at 4/04/2006 1:28 AM

  • How marvelous! How wonderful! Is my Savior's love for me!

So sweet to have such a treat in preparing for Easter!

But, still, I crave Jesus more, much much more, than listening to this CD.

Huge thanks to God for putting all of us on this planet together in just HIS perfect time! I so love my brothers and sisters (even the ones I haven't met yet:) And also a big thanks to all who have poured all their efforts into this project, and into all of us! I can't wait to share it with the world! Only 7 hours until work starts!!!

By Blogger Silke, at 4/04/2006 1:39 AM

  • So I just went to itunes to see if Everything Glorious was available yet. Unfortunately, it was not. But, I was happy to see Chris Tomlin's Arriving CD under staff favorites. It was right next to the Brokeback Mountain soundtrack. It's awesome that music glorifying God is right up there as well!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 4/04/2006 2:49 AM

  • It's 1:52am CST and iTunes has yet to upload the songs... I guess I will just have to wait until tommorow when I'll buy it in stores... Oh well.

By Blogger Blake Stewart, at 4/04/2006 2:55 AM

  • I can't wait for the CD!!!! it's 2:13 AM MDT and its not on itunes yet. what an exciting day though, 2 great CD's releasing on one day, I wonder if that was planned or just one of those things God did.

Louie has a good point that we also need to spend a moment to thank everybody that did the stuff behind the scenes to make the artists sound as good as they do. by the way louie what production software does passion use?

  • It's awesome, just been to Koorong to grab it after a long day at uni (in Adelaide it is 6:35pm on April 4 right now), come home and find it's not even on iTunes yet! To add insult to injury for all of you Americans waiting, it was on shelves at 9:00am here yesterday!

Currently up to track 4 and I already think it's one of the best P&W albums I have ... right up there with the all new Hillsong United Live "United We Stand" (big release 2 weeks ago) and last year's United and Passion albums.

It's a pity to see it is missing Kristian Stanfills' rendition of Joel Houston's "Salvation is Here," but I guess it's all right as I have the original United version.

It's high time we had the Passion crew come and do a massive tour here in Oz. We send our best (United band, PlanetShakers) over to you and now it's time to return the favour!

Happy listening for everyone when you do get it!

  • i pre-ordered 6 cd's to give away and bought 2 last week at Thirsty. So I am getting some together to send out to people all over so they can spread the word too. i should have asked you all for some inserts to put in these so the people I send to can help spread the word - i will make my own. I also need to order 1 more and send it to my brother in Australia at Hillsong church. He can spread the word there.

By Anonymous Christina, at 4/04/2006 10:08 AM

  • I got mine at Wal-mart this morning on the way to work. The lady was putting out the new cd's and I had to ask for it because it was apparently still in the brown box. I asked if she had the new Passion cd and she looked in the box and said, "we have something called Everything Glorious." I couldn't turn it up loud enough. It's awesome. Thanks Louie.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 4/04/2006 10:09 AM

  • I have the same skipping problem... What's up with that? Other than that little glitch, the CD is AMAZING!!!

By Blogger undignified, at 4/04/2006 10:15 AM

  • I downloaded the album last night off of iTunes. I sat in my room listening to the songs remembering Nashville. Then I listened to Matt Redman's song. I have been singing that song to myself alot over the last couple of months. In February my dad got very sick. The doctors couldn't figure out why his heart was starting to beat so slowly. Then his heart would start racing. The doctors told us that they thought he had a heart attack and a brain tumor. I had to stay at the house with him every morning and make sure he was still breathing. I would sit in my living room and sing... " oh no You never let go.."... the night the Indescribable tour went to Auburn I drove there. On the way my mom called me and told me my dad was doing better and the doctors had said his heart was fine and the other symptoms were from a very rare allergic reaction to some medicine. My dad will tell you that God healed and there is no other reason he is doing as good as he is. I am still sing the song because of the truth that He never let go, through the calm or the storms.

  • Booya! Yippee! Yessss! Mr. Postman brought it yesterday and I LOVE IT! I love the song selection, and the way each song builds on the one before. When I put on my earphones and closed my eyes I was back in Nashville. A great way to prepare my heart for Easter.
If only UCLA could have won the national championship, yesterday would have been a perfect day!
Thank you to all for an amazing recording for the center of my life.

  • Thank you to all the tech people and producers and graphic artists and everyone who made this album possible! Also to the musical artists, of course!! and to you too, Louie! This CD will be a blessing to my college ministry! I can't wait to start teaching these songs to them~ thank you and thank GOD!!

    Oh the album.... simply amazing....

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 4/04/2006 10:59 AM

  • Wow! We bought this cd at the Thirsty Conference and out the 8 hours back home my wife and I must have listened to this cd for like 6 of those hours!
What an amazing job! Ya'll never let me down with incredible worship so I'm not sure why I'm so blown away but this cd is incredible.
For Passion to exist for the glory of God this cd may sum up what your about! 'Your name and Your renown are the desire of our souls!'
This cd amplifies that statement with over an hours worth of incredible worship. What a way to end it too! I saw 'Our God Reigns' pop up as like 6 minutes and was like yeah right. But my wife and I found ourselves just singing along down I-65!

Having been a volunteer at the corner of 7th and Broadway most of the week, I didn't get to see or experience most of the sessions, however, this brings back memories of the few that I did see. I can't wait for the DVD! Beautiful, God honoring, and LOUD praise! PARTY!

  • Thanks Passion for leading us into a revolutionary time on college campuses. The cd inspires me to renew my vision of what my senior year will be like next year. I have enjoyed every second of music on this cd but there something about taking the old hymns and renewing them in fresh and powerful ways. Thanks for leading us. Continue to be led by the LORD!

  • The iTunes page listed above will get you to where you can buy EG, but doesn't list the songs. You can work around that by using the shopping cart feature ... as if any of us needs the listing anymore having worn out the 30-second clips!

By Blogger Tammie, at 4/04/2006 12:42 PM

  • We were at Best Buy at store opening this morning looking for the EG! cd. We took the last 2 cd's and it was only 10:15 am! As on of those 700+ volunteers, it brings me back as though it was yesterday. Thank you Louie and all who were a part of this work, but most of all thanks be to God for with Him all things are possible!

  • This cd is absolutely amazing, I have listened to it so many times that I know the order by heart and all the songs, not that I didn't know them already. We have had a copy of the cd since Wed. b/c we went to THIRSTY and it is great, we listened to it twice that night after the late night, and then again on the way home like two or three times, the ride home is all kind of a blur seeing as how it took 13 hrs to drive what should have been a 6hr trip. But nevertheless the cd is wonderful and I listen to it everyday in my car and on my computer, it just keeps cycling through . :) It's great to be able to go back to January and the time when God's presence was totally visible. Thank You to the entire sixsteps crew you are all amazing. Can not wait until January for Passion '07.

By Blogger Vickie Lynn, at 4/04/2006 12:57 PM

  • Anybody know why there is no track listing or clips on iTunes?

    By Blogger higgie07, at 4/04/2006 12:58 PM

  • I got it on iTunes. Awesome CD, listened to it on my way to and from class (30 minute drive). The "Awesome Is the Lord Most High" song has skips / blank parts. If you go to Apple's support, let them know, and they should refund you and tell you to wait about 2 weeks for the corrected song to appear (that's how it happened last time, anyway). The form is on the iTunes Support pages ...

By Anonymous Justin Osborne, at 4/04/2006 1:02 PM

  • I thought it was just me but I guess couple of other people are having problems with 'Awesome Is The Lord Most High.' I hope iTunes will fix this problem soon.

  • Yup, I had the same problem with "Awesome Is the Lord Most High." I reported it to iTunes and am sure they will take care of it. I've had the urge all day to just walk around the office doing the "party clap" :)

By Anonymous Laura, at 4/04/2006 2:00 PM

  • Louie,
AMAZING! I absolutely could not wait for this CD! I get chills every time I listen to Our God Reigns! And I can FINALLY "Party" now whenever I want! I was one of the few people that got mine early on Saturday. I was so excited to show it to one of my friends who uses the word "glorious" on a regular basis to refer to anything. I am trying to encourage him to come to Passion next year. He used that word in front of Mark Cahill at our retreat and I am convinced now that Mark is using it. I believe you actually met my campus ministry director last week at the Thirsty Conference-Michael from FSU. How crazy is that?!
I just want to tell you what an ecnouragement your ministry is to me. Being at Passion only wanted to make me run faster and harder towards living for Jesus Christ and spreading his name everywhere. The God of the universe knows each one of us and has called us to love and obey him. When we do that GLORIOUS things can happen!
    Ephesians 3:20,21

Turn it up, don't burn it up. itunes, not ourtunes. There's nothing glorious about stealing, but there's everything glorious about supporting the cause.

  • Louie,

I apologize in advance that this is so long, but I just had to tell you this story! First, thanks to you and all the guys for leading such a great night of worship Sunday. I was supposed to go with my sister, but that morning she called me to say she couldn’t go. I was staying with my cousin in Nashville and I really felt like God wanted me to ask her to go. My cousin hasn’t been in church since she was young and needless to say, she is not into “religion”, as she put it. All day I felt like God was tugging on my heart to ask her, but we’re not that close and knowing the only church she’s ever been to was very traditional, I thought “Is she going to run for the door if I take her to this?” I wrestled with it all day and as I was getting ready to leave, I felt like God spoke to my heart and said “Quit being a chicken. Just ask her and I’ll take care of the rest”. Ok, not gonna argue with that! Ha! So, I asked her and she accepted. So we get there and before it starts, I'm nervously praying that she won’t get up and leave. And we even ended up on the front row. God must have been laughing at me over that one- no exits near by! But… by the end of the service, I look over at her and she is smiling ear-to-ear, clapping her hands, and singing out to God! I was floored! After it was over, she gave me a huge hug (which we never do) and said “That was great! I didn’t want it to end.” She even told me she’s going to start going to church! I know this seems like a small step, but for someone who had previously sworn off church, it is huge. I was so excited when we left- I wanted to go dancing through the streets of downtown Nashville! Afterwards, I sat in the songwriters showcase trying to hold back the tears. God is so faithful and with an obedient heart, we can walk boldly, knowing His promises are true! So, thank you and all the guys again. I’ll be there Wednesday night, cheering everyone on. Can’t wait! What an awesome God we serve!

    ~ Laura

P.S. Picked up Passion ’06 CD today- there are no words (I’m one of the 18,000 voices singing)! I also left one at my cousin’s apartment that she’ll find when she gets home from work.

  • Aww man. I ran out to buy the CD on my lunch break, and totally desired to listen to that (and the new United CD, which I wasn't able to find in 3 stores!!).

Anyways, to make a long story short, I can't listen to the Passion CD at all!! =( When I load the CD into my laptop, it doesn't recognize the CD at all. In February, my car was broken into, so I'm unable to listen to it there too... Maybe it'll work on my computer at home...here's to hoping!

  • Everything Glorious is absolutely amazing ... I never thought last year's CD "How Great Is Our God" could be beaten, but I think this one might have done the impossible!

I love all the songs, expecially Chris Tomlin/Christy Nockels "Glorious" ... that song is written for their voices ... Tomlin absolutely shines in it!!

    God Bless!

  • I love the CD! I got mine in the mail on Saturday and can't stop listening to it. My siblings are getting annoyed by it, but I don't care. Thank you to everyone who made it possible.

  • I got the CD today. I couldn't even wait for lunch and got it on my break. It is amazing and if I sit back and close my eyes it is as if I am reliving it again. I want to say thank you to every single person behind making the CD. All of you did a great job!!!! May God continue to bless you as you help impact His kingdom. But the one who deserves the utmost honor and praise is our Lord Jesus. I continue to pray that the passion has not left all of us who went and it still continues to burn. May this cd be a great doorway to reach those who need Jesus in their lives.

    In Christ,

  • Hey "Randall the Absolute!"

Keep looking for "United We Stand," I got it on the release date two weeks ago down here in Adelaide and it is amazing, right up there with "Look to You." I also got "Everything Glorious" from my favourite store in town on Monday (yes, 1 day and 16 hours earlier!) and it is just as good as "How Great is Our God" and the United albums.

It warms my heart to listen to Crowder leading worship and interacting with the crowd instead of performing like it must be so tempting to do so. Nobody over here sings like he does, whether in the church or out of the church! But Marty Sampson's voice is just about as distinctive as Crowder's, but deeper and more manly!

I think the last two United albums and the last two Passion albums would have to be the greatest worship albums I have ever heard, though I do like Tree63's "I Stand For You." It is also great that Hillsong are finally getting their act into gear and letting Americans get their hands on some of the greatest praise music you'll ever hear.

These recent United & Passion albums are all amazing CDs and everyone needs to get all four!

    Adelaide, South Australia

PS the bonus DVD with "United We Stand" is pretty cool as well, just like the "Look To You" bonus DVD.

  • The CD is Beyond Amazing!

My sister is stationed at Lackland AFB in San Antonio with few connections to the outside world. After she learned I have the CD she asked me if she can send her iPOD home to me so I can download then ship it back to her in TX.

Of CORSE we will do it the legal way!!!!!! No worries.

  • I am totally in LOVE with this CD and the God who is praised on it. Thankyou for bringing back the memories from that awesome week. I was listening to "Our God Reigns" on my way home from work and I felt like I was right back in that huge auditorium worshipping with 18000 others. It was a refreshing moment to my soul.
Also, I have to say that I was a little angry at my mailman, because I had two friends pre-order the CD last week, and they got theirs on Saturday. I however, pre-ordered mine like 4 weeks ago and did not get it until monday. GRRRRR......But that's okay, at least I have it now.

  • Louie, Shelley, Carrie and the rest of the sixsteps staff:

I just downloaded the album (broken first song and all) from the "comfort" of my sandbag protected trailer in Iraq. I love how conveinent iTunes makes buying music.

As usual, words can't express how encouraging the new project is. Much love to you all. I'm praying for Passion 07. I can't wait to see and serve with everyone again.

    We have already won!

  • I got my cd yesterday in the mail. It is such an awesome cd. Music is life changing. Some of the words of some of the songs really give me something to think about. Thanks!

  • I was so excited to get my hands on Everything Glorious. I jumped in my car after a 7am Prayer Meeting and drove to the music store on my way to volunteering at a crisis pregnancy center at 9. Unfortunately, when I got there, I found out that they didnt open until 10. So I hopped back in the car and drove across the lovely town of Auburn to Wal-Mart. When I got to Wal-Mart the sales rep hadnt even put them on the shelves yet so he let me have one out of the shipping box. So when I showed up to the clinic 10 min late I had to admit with quiet a big smile that the reason I was late was "I did something selfish and had to go buy the Passio cd." My tardiness was forgiven by our amazing staff.

  • Has anyone heard back from iTunes regarding 'Awesome Is The Lord Most High'?

By Blogger John, at 4/05/2006 3:58 PM

  • On friday me and my best friend were talking about the cd and how we can't wait for it to come. i decide to call home and my sister picks up the phone and she says that i did get something from Passion...i look at my best friend and we both start screaming....so wheni got off the phone i took my break and went home to get it...and we listened to it the whole time at work(the benefit of having a christian boss, whom we've kept updated about Passion)...THANKS Louie and everyone else...ALeCu_tA

  • Like everyone else, I absolutley LOVE the new cd! It makes me wish that everytime I listen to it, I could be back at the Gaylord arena...i truly get chills everytime i listen to it. But I have something new....I was thinking about how fun "Party" was in concert and how everyone was jumping around. Well it might sound silly but this cd is GREAT for a workout while also praising God! Here's an example...listen to "We win" first to get warmed up and move around a bit. Then turn on "Party". Now i know if you're alone, then you should be able to jump or move all through that song without feeling silly. It's almost 6 minutes so if you're moving that much...than you're heart should be a pumping! Then after that, turn on "Our God Reigns" and just sit down for that 6 1/2 minutes just to cool down and think about how great God is! It really does work...especially if it could be done every day! Try it!

  • I heard back from iTunes today. They said wait 2 weeks before rebuying the song. But the good news is they said they would refund my money, so thats great! But has anyone downloaded the songs lately and knows that the song is fixed?

By Blogger Andrew & Ashley, at 4/10/2006 1:20 PM

  • I just downloaded, hoping that they had fixed it, but the first song still skips. :( I guess I'll email them and hopefully it'll all work out! It is worth it though, WOW! AMAZING. It brings me right back to Passion 06. Praise to God!
