Should Be Tucson

Sorry for those of you who are squeamish (turn away now), but tonight I should be opening the fall leg of the How Great Is Our God Tour with Chris Tomlin in Tucson, AZ. But today brought an unexpected (and I hope never repeated) emergency room visit and overnight hospital stay in Orange County as a small kidney stone put a massive kink in those plans. Fortunately, things resolved this afternoon, the IV was removed and I was free to go. Hopefully, a day will make a huge difference and CT and I will reconnect in San Diego on Thursday night. Resting now, LG

  • Father God,
First of all, I praise You for the work that Louie and the Passion House continues to do for Your Kingdom. I ask for Your healing to engulf Louie today as he rests. Help him to feel renewed as he continues to communicate a message larger than we can comprehend. Please fight for Louie and the Tomlin Team each and ever day during the Tour! Ain't nothing gonna hold you down, Louie. Amen

  • Never heard of you before but after experiencing your video in Tucson my life isn't the same. CT was the greatest. Re your illness want to tell you I see how God worked in my life because of it. I have Attention Deficit Disorder and tune out quickly when listening to talks because of distractions. The whole time your video was playing I was able to concentrate on nothing else. Praise the Lord my life is changed. Stay well, Louie, God is using you in so many ways.

  • hi Louie. i'm glad you're feeling better. the whole Passion team is in my prayers daily. ever since the first time my parents and i heard you speak, in Baton Rouge (March 21st), we can't stop talking about the message. my Dad has never heard of you until that night. it's been a few months since the worship service at LSU, but it seems like yesterday. i've never thought of this universe like that. and how small we are compared to it. it amazes me to know just how Awesome our God is, and that His creation is the apple of His eye. we are His creation!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 11/03/2007 11:58 PM

  • Ouch! That hurts! I am praying for you Louie. I also wanted to let you know what you and the entire Passion team mean to me and my family. You were used to speak truth and grace into our lives. Two months prior to Passion, my best friend asked me if I would move out West and plant a church. I told him "NO." I went about my normal life getting ready to chaperone a group to Passion07. There, God spoke to me and my wife through you. During the "Afterparty for the nations" talk my wife leaned over and said "Tell Steve I'm ready!" Long story short, we will be planting a church in the Tucson area in July 2008. We are going through Las Vegas to train and mentor with Hope Baptist Church. Pray that God would govern our steps, and that Christ would be glorified in an area that needs His light and grace.

    We love you!
