Meet Woodrow

Our first night of the spring leg (it's really more like the winter leg!) of the Indescribable Tour has come to an end. Thanks to you lovely people of Columbia, SC... it was a great start to our twenty-city journey. It was great seeing lots of people from Passion 06...and meeting Woodrow, our stage door security guy who took really good care of us tonight. Well, it's not like there was a high security risk, but it was nice having Woodrow around all evening. Lot's of people like him that you never see make nights like tonight possible, so I thought it would be nice if you could meet. Woodrow was styling the shades all night...indoors. Nice touch. I asked him if he'd downloaded the Passion 06 bundle. Not just yet.

Speaking of iTunes, we are still at #4 today with no movement at the top.
Who are these Passion people?? I'm not sure if we'll crack the top spot...but you never know! Thanks for all your support. We're glad you're enjoying our little pre-CD offering.

Well, it's time to board the Tomlin bus and roll out to Raleigh, which I heard is sold out... as is DC the next night and Wexford, PA after that. Crazy. We are humbled by your prayers and really excited about joining you somewhere soon!

Louie

  • I am getting so stoked! Wichita, Kansas... Saturday... February 11... 7:30 PM.

We are SO there! We were talking about the concert last night at our Bible study and we decided that we ARE going!

Now... the only thing we have to do is figure out how we're going to swing it. Half of the people that are going are the worship team for our Saturday night service! So we're going to try to get the time moved up from 6:00 to 5:00. That way we'll be done in time to make it to the concert on the other side of town. This may be a bit silly... but say some prayers for us, if you don't mind so that we can work everything out. We're all going to try to bring a non-christian friend with us to the concert that night... so that'd be cool.

    Anyway...

I'm glad that the first night went well for you guys, Louie! Can't wait to see you guys in a few weeks!

    For HIS glory,
    Andrea

  • I was thinking the other day as I was fighting the wireless connection at a local coffeeshop at how cool it would be if we all really were able to get past the whole "me" thing and really become beacons for the glory of God. Being at passion was incredible, and fellowshiping with fellow Jesus lovers was great, but is that an anthem that beats in our hearts?

I know that I am guilty of restricting the greatness of the glory of God in my life by rebellion and sin. The finite cannot truely be satisfied with finite things, rather it takes the infinite to truely satisfy the finite. Yeah we serve a great big God, and yeah He is the best thing that we could even need. I guess for the 3rd time I have hit that wall where I sit back and ask, "What does the Glory of God look like on my campus?" "What is Next? How do my friends, classmates, and co-believers catch the truth that we are so small and fleating in our glory? "When the last clap dies out, there will only be one name that carries renown, an eternal renown, and that is Jesus!

Sorry, I was at a Campus Crusade for Christ gathering tonight and I am feeling reflective at what I saw. I have a vision for my campus, how to get there could be exciting...

Thanks for your fellow Passion Louie. It is good to see a heart that also beats for the name and Renown of Jesus Christ. God bless, and safe travels on the tour...

  • sad times that you picked such a small small venue for Chris Tomlin! Even more sad is that I'm 3 and a half hours away from my Raleigh home right now...but have a blast anyways!

  • thank you guys for coming to columbia and for spending a couple hours with us. it's beautiful how God can bring inspiration and encouragement when we really need it now. it brought everything back from passion, and it's overwhelming. But then again, that's the kind of God we have, so i guess we could expect nothing less. it was beautiful to see that auditorium filled with people last night singng out from their hearts, tears streaming down their faces, worshipping. i wanted to ask if all of you reading this would please take just a moment to pray for columbia. all the thousands of students here, still searching, and maybe not even knowing what they're looking for, or that there's something more out there. i know that's cliche, but sometimes the cliches just fit i guess. just please pray for this campus, this city, and that we'll come alive. it would really mean a lot. thanks.
i thank GOD for the gifts HE's given each one of you last night, the band and the light and sound people, everyone, and for just bringing you guys together. HE is stirring hearts through you guys, and i don't think there could ever be a better gift. I'm sure you guys know that, but i just wanted to let you know we'll be praying for all of you too. thank you so much. thank GOD! have a great time on the rest of your stops!

    HIS love endures forever...
what a wonderful way to go back into the world last night...yea...

  • i have to agree with kaitlyn, last night was amazing!!!! thanks to wmhk for sponsoring the night! seeing as how i just started back my semester the day before, the night was a great way to kick off the new semester!! (although i think it might have been better if we had done the party song-hello...louie said "celebration" what better celebration than a party?!) we tried to get the clapping rhythm going (clap-clap, clap, clap-clap, clap) but it just got confused with regular clapping and ended up just getting faster and faster. oh well, we tried.
anyways, thanks again for a wonderful night!!!

  • Glad to hear that ya'll second leg started great (I was there when ya'll hit Little Rock, AR on the first leg). I was also at Passion 06. and I had a question for ya:

How much did the offering end up being? I don't remember ya'll telling us on the last day and I haven't seen any mention of it on the Web site or in the Blog. I was just wondering.

Hope ya'll have a great time on the road.

  • Louie,

I'm glad to hear that y'all are having a good time! Gotta say, though: you missed your chance. I bet it won't be 55 and sunny when y'all get to Wisconsin next Friday night:) Unbelievable; feels like spring already...
