13 Days To iTunes Happiness

That's right, we are hard at work mixing Passion 06 music today so it can be shipped off to the Apple folks tomorrow. We're working on two songs and a talk for the first Passion 06 bundle (translation: buy all) that will be available exclusively on the iTunes Music Store on January 24. I can't tell you what the two songs are just yet, but the pic gives a hint of at least one!

Stay tuned. More info coming. Thirteen days 'till iTunes. You know what to do!

  • I work for a small advertising agency doing reporting to radio stations and media outlets(which is the extent of my small understanding in the advertising industry and its foreign language). I send weelkly reports to media outlets and radio stations, but try to include my care for people as I send the rigid reports. A guy from one of the stations responded to a question, and then asked me about my holidays. Well....my holidays were spent in Texas without family as I saved up and got ready for the drive to Nashville. So, I told him about asking God for really big things even when they seem out of reach (like me coming to volunteer for Passion). I filled him in on the iTunes info, so maybe he'll check out the message and music?! I was so excited to tell this stranger about the God who answers big requests. It was REALLY hard to go back to number crunching after sharing briefly about Passion. Poor guy didn't know what was about to hit him. Turn his heart toward you, Lord, if it isn't there already!!

I sure hope(Party)will be on the cd!

  • Cant wait! Anything to remind me of what God did last week is exciting right now...

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 1/11/2006 8:19 PM

  • OH yay! :) I am SO excited! Passion music is absolutely amazing, I just leave the window open at work and listen to the 4 songs over and over.

  • God, we just want to lift up Dr. John Piper and all he is about to endure. We love you, Father for being central. Use Dr. Piper for your glory. We love Jesus. Amen.

  • Yay iTunes Happiness!!! Is it going to be available for the Canadian iTunes? We often get shafted with low availability :(

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 1/11/2006 11:05 PM

  • All i can say is HURRY! :) all the songs from last week just keep playin over and over in my head... not nearly as "tuneful" but it works for now... Thank you for EVERYTHING! (p.s. YOU AND I or GLORIOUS, that would be a very nice surprise!)

By Blogger Whitney, at 1/12/2006 1:21 AM

  • oh im so thankful for music and the memories that come back listening to it... of God meeting us... i am stoked about getting it ASAP!
Also God is still moving powerfully to drastically change lives... read my latest blog if you have a chance, i didn't want to put the whole story here...
OH my goodness our God really does reign as strong here on the west coast, as I felt his presence and movement in Tennessee!!!!

By Blogger Justine, at 1/12/2006 1:56 AM

  • Although I love the Party song, I would have to go with hoping it will be "Glorious". That is the most beautiful and powerful song. It has been running through my mind ever since I first heard it last week.

By Blogger Donna, at 1/12/2006 6:20 AM

  • For Kelli,

You don't need an ipod to download itunes. You can download the itunes program to your computer. Then itunes essentially becomes a media player and you can play the music on your computer OR if you have a cd burner, you can actually burn the songs to cd.

By Blogger stephen, at 1/12/2006 8:45 AM

  • ok my guesses are "Party" and "Glorious"

sweet whatever they are! we WILL be on itunes!!!

By Blogger Stephanie, at 1/12/2006 8:51 AM

  • My guess is definately "You Are My Joy," because it looks like that's what the Crowder guys are performing in the picture... still can't get over just how awesome God is and the amount of work that He did on me while we were all together in Nashville

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 1/12/2006 10:38 AM

  • oh boy!! i can't wait to get through 13 days! :)

By Blogger Laura, at 1/12/2006 11:36 AM

  • 12 more days till itunes!! yippy!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 1/12/2006 1:46 PM

  • I think they're playing You Are My Joy in the picture. I think Crowder used a capo for his new Glorious song, which isn't featured in this pic

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 1/12/2006 2:21 PM

  • Yeah, Tomlin's "Glorious" definetely needs to be on the album/iTunes!! That one has been riveted to my brain since he first played it last week :)

Also, if you haven't checked out Charlie's new album, IT ROCKS! They did a very good job, and most of the new songs (if not all) that his band played at Passion '06 are on there.

So between that, the new Tomlin songs, and the live versions of DCB's stuff we should be rocking all the way to Atlanta next year! (Does anybody else still have Passion '05 in their CD changer??)

    Stay strong gang!

  • Hey Rusty
how did you hear the songs on Charlie Halls new cd?I thought it was not released yet?Let me know
    Thanks

By Blogger FanofGOD, at 1/12/2006 5:48 PM

  • fanofgod, they specially pre-released Charlie Hall's new CD at Passion for us =) we got a great deal, 8 bucks!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 1/12/2006 5:57 PM

  • I got the new Charlie Hall cd too for that wonderful price. It really is great!!! I have to be honest. Until Passion, I had never heard of Charlie Hall so I had no idea about what his music sounded like. I was blown away and once again another vessel of the Lord's for the impact of His kingdom. Wow.....another song on here mentioned that I forgot about, yet thought it was so powerful. "This is for glory! His glory!" I just loved that song. I'm surprised I even had a voice after that; although I did get sick when I got back and didn't have half a voice yesterday.

    Jeannie,

I do not know if your court date was today or not. Your posting was early this morning and I know the timing on these posts are not accurate. Anyway, I am praying for you. Psalm 61:3...."For thou has been a refuge for me, a tower of strength against the enemy". And yes, by all means, pray for your enemy as well. It was always such a hard thing for me to do, but the more I started praying for them, the easier it became. God loves them just as much as he loves you and because of His mercy, He wants them to be led towards repentance so that they too may live eternally with Him.

    In Christ,
    Donna

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 1/13/2006 10:57 AM

  • fanofgod, the CD is awesome! I've always liked Charlie Hall but his new stuff is just great. he changed up Marvelous Light from the Live Roots CD version so it was a nice change. we've already done one of his songs for worship

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 1/13/2006 11:33 AM

By Blogger FanofGOD, at 1/13/2006 1:19 PM

  • Can I push forth a request that Kristian Stanfill's "Jesus Paid It All" and "O, Praise the One Who Paid My Debt" be on the Passion cd? Those two songs were just amazing!! It'd be awesome to see it make it on the album.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 1/13/2006 3:38 PM

  • Yes, iTunes! I can't wait for the songs and messages to come out! I am a soldier stationed in Iraq and wasn't able to come to Passion this year. I am looking forward to see how God was moving in and on the hearts of students through His word and through song.

God is ALIVE and KICKING here in Iraq! His story is being spread and changing lives in the most amazing ways.

Please continue to 1.) pray for the troops stationed overseas and 2.) pray that the renown of Jesus continues to turn the hearts of soldiers to Him for His glory!

It is happening over here and I am blessed enough to get to see it first hand! For the glory of God!

  • iTunes... meet Passion.

    Passion...iTunes.

    Live. Glory. Shout.

By Blogger Gloamer, at 1/13/2006 10:27 PM

  • kristian stanfill was awesome... next year he should be one of the main leaders! you should put the whole indescribable message and song on itunes. it was absolutely amazing!!can't wait till jan 25!! yay!! suspence!! :-)

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 1/14/2006 9:46 AM

  • Agreed. Kristian fits in the group with all the "boys." However, as Watermark is retiring, isn't it time for another GIRL to rise to the top? It's becoming quite a man's club, otherwise...

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 1/14/2006 10:15 AM

  • PLEASE PLEASE make the songs available on the Canadian iTunes Music Store as well. We can only buy from the US store if we have a credit card with a US billing address, which is very hard for us Canadians.

    Thanks, and God bless!

  • News on John Piper...He has prostate cancer. Keep him in your prayers. Listen to the message where he tells his church for the first time.... http://www.biblicalpreaching.info/listentosermon.php?id=1118#

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 1/14/2006 12:30 PM

  • i hope the ep contains the song that crowder played with the chorus lyrics "you make everything glorious". that song made me want to smile. and cry. and smile again.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 1/14/2006 3:58 PM

  • HEATHER IN IN .You can watch Kristian leading worship at the 7:22site. It is a Bible study for singles at North Point Church in Alphapetta, Georgia.I found it through Google and we watch it in Australia

By Blogger gail, at 1/14/2006 11:24 PM

  • "party" can wait.
    "glorious" now.
    and perhaps the last talk?

...if i might be so bold as to customize my own passion 06 bundle.

By Blogger katy, at 1/15/2006 3:20 AM

  • i really really really hope that Glorious and Chris Tomlins song You and I is released... the party song didnt really do that much for me :/ but whatever is released will be awesome!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 1/15/2006 7:30 PM

  • I sure hope it's "You Make Everything Glorious." It just sounds so much better with the music.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 1/16/2006 1:48 PM

  • ok so "You make everything glorious" and ummmmmmmm.......PARTY!!!!!! and how about John Pipers sermon!! any one of them.....they're all good.

(this is what all the cool kids want)

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 1/16/2006 9:43 PM

  • In respons to the remark about watermark retiring... that really is a bummer, but oh my goodness what a blessing they have been! Christies voice is so powerful, idk how many of you went to the session where Beth Moore invited the girls to their conference, but i wish i could go badly! If only it wasn't so far from Cali!

I don't think it's so much about rising to the top... but it's definitely encouraging and powerful when someone with her heart and VOICE comes along.
