Ahhhh, The South.

Golden Eagles, Georgia Dawgs and Auburn Bound

Our indescribable journey has taken us far north, through the glorious Midwest, around in the expansive Midwest, back to the Midwest, did I mention the Midwest?, and now, we are finding warm sunny days in the south. The deep south. Hattiesburg, MS, was pretty crazy. 4100 people in Reed Arena, home of the Golden Eagles. Great night! And tonight...Athens, as in GA. After a day off at home and in the Passion House Shelley was nice enough to give me and Chris a lift to Athens since we missed bus call this morning. (OK, we didn't try to make bus call). Today/tonight it was cool to have a lot of the Passion team with us and our favorite UGA student! It's always more fun when tons of college students are in the place, and really interesting when they get backstage like this one did with her friends who basically trashed what was left of the food in the Green Room. I've never seen people get more Pop Tarts, cookies and fruit into their bags faster.

Just being here, and walking the streets with Ayns brings it all (our mission) into focus. Lot's of people it seems wondering where the best place is to plant a life. So they'll know, we've got to know this man named Jesus...really taste of Him and know Him to be all and all...and live something better before their very eyes. Tonight was about Him, not songs or us. He is alive, and more fierce than we can imagine. More able than we often dare believe.

Just 7 nights left on this Indescribable adventure. And, speaking of adventures, the Crowders rocked VA tonight, so I've heard, as they kicked off their spring run with the Third Day crew. Watch for them coming your way any day now.

Coming in the next few days:
Passion 07 scoop.
iTunes stuff.

About to roll. 1 AM bus call. Auburn tomorrow.
LG

  • Wow, even after a few nights I can't stop smiling from the Tour. It's like I was at Passion all over again. While 4100 isn't the same as 18,000...it was awesome to see the people in Reed Green Colisuem worshiping God with all they had. Truly special.

I've been listening to a lot of Charlie Hall the last day and half, and have probably heard "Center" play on iTunes close to 20 times. I love it. "Oh Christ, be the center of our lives". So true, so simple.

Again, thanks for not kicking us out Louie when we snuck in the back to find you.

You're in my prayers! Keep going strong!

  • the fact that passion will be in a different place makes me happy. since no one will have any familiarity with it i think will add a new, yet hectic, aspect to it. still sporting my '06 bracelet, i hope to be told to take it off at '07 ... that is my goal.

i'm glad ya'll made it to MS (my home state)... those people are aching for a Christ-centered ministry but it seems that a lot of times our humble state is overlooked.

God has used you. is using you. and will use you. Praise God for what He is able to do that we can't even fathom.

"Oh, no. You never let go..."

  • I went to see Crowder last night, and he ROCKED!!! Lots of people got stuck in traffic and missed him...I felt terrible for them, because he was the highlight of the night! All the people there who came to hear Third Day thought the DCB fans were a little nuts, but that's okay. :) Have a great last week of the tour!

Come on, Tuesday! Can't wait to download "Made to Worship"!!

  • Louie, It is so wonderful to have y'all back in the south! Thursday can't get here fast enough, Birmingham is buzzing with excitement!! I am also excited becuse after I see y'all on Thursday, Beth Moore is rolling in for her 2 day conference, so, I'll be reliving my Passion 06 days! I don't think my heart can take much more, I'm am anticipating God's glory to fall! Love ya and am praying for you, Chris, Matt, and the guys, plus, we'll have Jesse back!

eliz- OK sweet tea is like the staple drink of the south. It is regular tea, but you add sugar to it (LOTS of sugar), and cold water. The best is a Chick-Fil-A chicken biscuit and a large sweet tea at 7 AM. What a way to start the day! God, Chick-Fil-A,& sweet tea. What more does a girl need?
Oh, the best sweet tea in Birmingham is Milo's.

  • We're waiting for you in good ole Florida-Jacksonville specifically. Have been looking forward to this corporate worship experience since the day we were sent out of Nashville to touch our campuses.
This will be my 4th time hearing this message of Louie's...but its just like he said. He's preached it around 60 times and keeps getting more and more out of it, so I'm pretty sure I can do with a 4th dosing.

Quick song request for Redman....how about Facedown???

  • Goooo Dawgs! Woof woof woof! :) Wonderful worship last night y'all...so great to see such unity in the body!

And whoever asked about sweet tea - it is important to note that the proper way to make sweet tea is to boil the water, add the tea bag and sugar to the HOT water, then let it cool and drink it cold (poured over ice)...but the part about putting the sugar in while it's hot is very important, otherwise the sugar won't really dissolve...it's very yummy, you should definitely try some!!!

Auburn people - praying for you!

  • Thanks so much for coming to MS! It really means a whole lot when you guys remember us here in the South! Ha ha! Our friends who weren't able to make it to Passion06 really enjoyed hearing y'all and kept asking me if that was what Passion was like. (They also can't figure out why I still have a hot pink bracelet on my wrist...) All I could tell them was that there was NO way I could possibly describe the Passion experience, but that if you took that night and multiplied it by 10 (or more) then you MIGHT be getting a little closer to what Passion was. Ha ha! I really enjoyed hearing your talk a second time, and of course hearing Chris and Matt again was great too! Spending Valentine's Day with you guys and our Beautiful Savior was amazing! Thank you again, I pray that God continues to bless you and your work! :)

  • Is that Louie's daughter?

  • It is good to hear, 4100 people in Reed Green is no small wonder. I went to USM, graduated and went on to minister to college students at Florida State. Hearing that 4100 people got together to worship at USM means a lot to me. What can I say but COOL! Lift God up and He just seems to attract people.
