Saginaw, Who Knew?

Plus More News From The Passion House in Atlanta

Well, we finally found winter in chilly (some would say freezing) Michigan. After a brief stop in Ann Arbor (and a little time to be at UM and get a glimpse of this mammoth campus) we rolled up-state to Saginaw, a first for most of us. As the night began, the crowd looked a little older and maybe a bit more reserved...but looks are almost always deceiving and they certainly were last night. These people were hungry...really hungry, going after God with incredible energy and passion. The night had some really special moments. Great stuff. Off again today. Tomorrow, Nebraska. Then back up to Milwaukee and Chicago.

Back at the Passion House things are in motion for Thirsty, our gathering for college ministers and leaders at the end of March. These days are always special and a lot more intimate in size and scope than the larger student conferences. All the info is available here. Check it out and join us.

By the way, I heard the first round of mixes for the Passion 06 CD (called Everything Glorious as of now) and saw a short bonus video for the iTunes CD release the guys in the UK are working on... wow! My eyes filled with tears as I saw video of Passion 06 for the first time. And as I listened to "Jesus Paid It All" I started shouting in my dressing room all by myself! OH PRAISE THE ONE WHO PAID MY DEBT AND RAISED THIS LIFE UP FROM THE DEAD!!

We will be finishing the mixes for the CD this week and ask for your prayers. We are working for anointed excellence that conveys the best we can offer musically and the presence and power of God that makes the eternal difference. I'll have more details on the CD and the 2nd iTunes bundle in a few days.

Thanks for your prayers on the road! LG

  • Just reading this blog takes me back to Nashville. I am still absorbing everything God spoke into my life. I have been listening to my Session CDs and God has revealed Himslef in a new way to me. How awesome He is! Thank you, Louie G. for giving my generation the truth that Jesus is more than enough to satisfy my soul, my desires, my life... He is everything! Thank you for pointing us to Him! I will see y'all in Birmingham- can not wait!!
I thought you'd like this story, I'll paraphrase it for you... From Voice of the Martyers weekly prayer list: Kamil Kiroglu, 29, in Turkey, was beaten unconcious twice on January 8, after leaving his church. "They were trying to get me to deny Jesus, but each time they asked me I said 'Jesus is Lord.' The more I said 'Jesus is Lord.' The more they beat me."
and here is the statement that sunk deep into my heart; Kiroglu said, "I am praising God not because He saved me from death, but because He helped me not to deny Him in the shadow of death."

O praise the One who paid my debt and raised this life up from the dead! Love ya, Aprille R.

  • Remember... us Michigan types are used to much colder weather and higher gas prices. So welcome to a "taste" of the chaos. :)

  • So since before Passion 06 and even more so after, the group of us who came from Illinois State University have been praying for a revival on our campus and that God's name and renown be known and glorified! Well, look out Normal, IL, the Christians are coming!!! Tonight is the beginning of what we hope to be a long string of Christians praising God on our campus. Tonight Winter Jam is being held in Redbird Arena. Winter Jam has David Nasser speaking , New Song hosting, and many many bands such as: ZOEGirl, Hawk Nelson, Toby Mac, Newsboys, and Crystal Meyers, as well as a Motorcycle Stunt Show. We are praying that God will pack the Arena with students that Need to hear his message and also that their hearts will be open. ALSO, in April CeCe Winans is coming to perform! We are so excited and wanted to share our excitement with you! We'll continue to pray for your ministry with the Indescriable Tour! God Bless!

  • Wow... glad to hear things are continuing to go well on the road and that the CD is coming along well. I can't wait until April, so we can all feel that togetherness in worship that we felt together in Nashville. It's so awesome!
I just wanted to hop on really quick and send my congratulations you guys' way about everyone at sixsteps' nominations for the GMA awards. I know that you guys have a great heart for God and that gaining earthly honors are not your goal, but I'm happy to see that everyone there is being honored for what they do. Keep up the great work... and I'm praying for you guys as you continue on the tour that God has placed you on...
Can't wait for you to get here to Athens!

  • I find myself screaming lyrics like that all the time. It is so wonderful. The weather in Ann Arbor right now seems like t-shirt weather to me. 40 degrees... psshhh. That's nothing. Good to hear the tour is going well. God is with us all. Shout unto the Lord for he is good.

  • I'm getting more excited about the 06 CD just from reading that. So lookin' forward to the next bundle.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 2/02/2006 8:40 PM

  • I'm sure that almost all of the comments you get on here say basically the same thing. I'm sorry to say that mine is no different... maybe I'll come up with something original to say soon :)

I got the first bundle, and I can't wait until the next one comes out! Listening to those songs and your talk took me back straight to Nashville and it was just an awesome reminder of how God is working in my life as well as the lives of so many other people!

I can't wait to see y'all in Hattiesburg, MS!! Our BSU is coming down there to see y'all, and we are STOKED to spend Valentine's Day with y'all! I just said y'all 3 (well, 4 now) times... Oops! :)

Thank you, Louie, for following the Lord. You and the people you are traveling with are certainly in my prayers!
