28 Day Prayer Journey To Passion 07 - Day 5

Day 5. Team.

I’m sitting around a huge table today in the Georgia World Congress Center with some of the most amazing people in the world. Their names are not Tomlin, Moore, Crowder, Redman, Giglio, Piper, or Hall, but they are just as vital to the process of Passion 07 as anyone you have heard of. They are our Volunteer Team Leaders and our Passion/sixsteps Staff/Team (see beautiful pic), and they are doing a phenomenal job making sure everything is in place to insure that you have the best possible experience in Atlanta.

Our Team Leaders, people with full time jobs who devote a chunk of their year to building the guts of the event and lead the volunteer teams in Atlanta, are here for three days of final preparations. With them, over 1000 men and women will form the volunteer teams that serve you while you are here.

Looking around the table right now: Jennifer, Daniele, Abbie, Sally, Paige, Radford, Emily H, Kristen, Mike, Susanne, Katey, Aaron, Vicky, Mike, Misty, Amanda, Gina, Emily V, Lori, Carrie, Jonathan, Danielle, Eddie, Jay, Shannon, Christina, Cheryl, Masi, Scot, Lindsay, Garret, Rick, Jim, Jerome, Brandon, Jon, Lauren, Jake, Shelley. Not pictured, but on the way, Tague, Lisa, Todd, Christi, Erica, Jan.

I know it’s not all that glamorous, but these guys need to know you are surrounding them with your prayers. Pick one and hold them up...and let’s see a lot of comments today for those who are sacrificing so much to make Passion 07 happen.

Father, thank You for incredible devotion by so many people who believe in the vision of Passion and want to serve in Your name. Give them strength and inspiration for the final push to Atlanta…and sweep them into the wave of what you’re doing in the hearts of students in this generation. For Jesus, Amen.

    Romans 12:4-6 Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us.

  • Thank you all so much for all the time and effort you are putting into volunteering for the passion conference! It is because of you and the other volunteers that many college students will have the opportunity to learn that God is the Lord of Heaven and Earth, the God of creation and our Father. We will be able to learn of his mercy and grace. Many of us will finally learn to turn to God, for our path, for our lives-for our very breath.

    Corrie Ten Boom once said, “The measure of a life is not it’s duration but its donation.” By serving at the passion conference you are donating and sacrificing so much.   • I'm praying for Todd (I don't have a clue who he is and really don't know any of these people but hope this encourages all to pray) that he will arrive safely and FINISH THE COURSE of the commitment he's made to Passion '07. Volunteers are miracles and I hope you all feel the prayer support and thanks from all over the world for all the time and things you given up for us (complete strangers). Thank you!

And even though she may never see the visible fruits of her labor, may she know that You are using and making much of it.     I thank You so much for these Volunteer Leaders and and Passion Team and the time they are taking to make Passion 07 possible for us 20,000 plus college students and as we will never fully realize how much they do and how big of a part of Passion they are I pray that You would bless them incredibly for their servanthood. Father, I pray you give them strength spiritually, mentally, and physically to serve for Your glory alone during Passion 07 and all the days of their lives! Amen!

  • Praying for each of the staff and all of the volunteer team lead members....and especially for Christina... that God will refresh you in the coming days and grant you vision to see clearly steps to take for the task at hand. That He will honor your faithfulness, strengthen and uphold you....and lavish you with a fresh sense of His presence during this time.

  • Definitely praying for all you guys over these days as things are fully coming together for what God has in store in a few weeks. I especially am praying for Mike that God would use him in incredible ways over the next few weeks as the planning continues, all the way up to the weeks after the conference looking back on all He has done.   • God I thank your for all of these volunteers and for their servant's hearts! God I ask that you would pour out your blessings on their lives and on their work. May everything they do for you in this time bring glory and honor to your name. God I pray for Abbie right now. Give her strength in these next few weeks to accomplish all that she needs to do. Give her comfort and peace in knowing that you are guiding her every move. God I ask that you would keep her safe in her travels and while she is working. I also ask Father, that you would surround her and bind Satan from doing any harm to her while she is doing these great works in your name. God I ask that you would just bless everyone on this list. Bless each and every work they are doing for you. Protect them, guide them, and give them strength. Help us to remember that it's for YOUR glory, and not for our own.   • Mike, thanks for what you're doing man. While so many people see the names Crowder, Tomlin, Giglio, Redman, etc...they don't see Mike. But, I do. And I'm praying for you. For your safety, guidance, and walk. I am so looking forward to Passion 07 and experiencing God there. I know there would be no Passion 07 if it were not for people like you. College students need something like this to connect with each other and more importantly, with God. It is a great resource and may we never take what you do for granted.   • This is wonderful to see you all. You are all such a blessing to Passion and to this generation. Thank you for your huge sacrifice of time and energies. I don't know which one of them you give more of... I have seen immense amounts of both offered up.
    Your work is a sweet sweet smell to our Heavenly Father.
    I am most familiar with Christina and "Rad" and I gladly lift you both up in prayer. May God fill you fully and deeply with His Spirit and I pray that He is all you need. I look forward to serving alongside you wonderful people once again next month.
