28 Day Prayer Journey To Passion 07 - Day 10
Day 10. Finish.
Though there are over 22,000+ of us headed to Atlanta (and growing), today is about you...and your race to the finish. Closing in on the end of another semester you may be limping, crawling, sleeping and hoping it just all goes away, sprinting, or running around in circles, but whoever you are we want you to know we are praying for you right now. Your sleepless nights and stress-filled hours spent staring at computer screens hoping words and pages miraculously appear are almost over. Happiness, your bed at home, your dog (insert pet of choice), mom's cooking (insert restaurant of choice), your little brother or sister, sleeping till noon and your part-time job at the mall all await you! Press on!
So for all of you who have had way too many cups of coffee, for all you procrastinators who have proved you can read a textbook in less than eight hours, for all you planners who have turned your projects in early (OK, for you, the one guy who turned in your stuff early) and are coasting to the finish worry free, for all of you who have done your best and for all of you who are needing a boost for that one last push before you're homeward bound...
"He [Jesus] gives strength to the weary, and to him who lacks might He increases power... ." Isaiah 40:29
Father, we are praying for students everywhere today, knowing that You are right where they are...right in the middle of papers and projects and deadlines. Give them (and all of us) the grace to breathe in Your presence and walk in Your strength. We want to finish well for Your sake, and ours. Jesus, be life and strength in the weary today as they put all their hope in You. Thank You, Amen.
PS-Major congrats to all you guys who have finished the bigger race and are graduating in coming days! Yippy!

Thanks Passion!! These last two weeks have certainly been difficult with papers, projects, and now finals. However, God has used Passion and this "28 Prayer Journey" as such a sense of encouragement for me! Each one has touched my heart and has given me the needed strength, motivation, and encouragement to face the rest of this time. So thank you for your prayers and consideration for college students, and for your investment in God's Kingdom throughout the world!
With four finals down and two to go, I embrace this day knowing that God is in control. I just pray that God may be glorified even in the frustrations of finals! May I do all for His Glory ALONE!!!!

I too would like to extend my thanks. I'm not in school right now, but I do work full time and it can be just as much stress as classes are, been there done that. But I want to thank you for your encouragement through the Lord. I've never been to anything like this and I've only been a Christain for a couple of years, but I rejoice everytime I think about the way the Lord is allowing me to come to this. So, that in itself tells me the God has something big, and that really gets my blood pumping. That the creator of the "single spoken sentence" wants to know me and share with me on a more personal level than what it seems like i deserve. many thanks out to the people behind the scenes, you are as the Holy Spirit, taken the words of others and making them happen. You may not be blessed greatly here in the earthly realms, but your treasures in heaven are adding up.
My we lay our dreams down, and pick His dreams up. Amen.

My King,
You are beautiful, majestic, awesome, and powerful. You are our God and that is enough reason to fall on our faces before you right now in humble praise and abandoment! We praise you for the lessons you have taught us this semester. We praise you for providing for us money to attend college, strength to get us through tests, and a joy that exists through all the hard adn good times. Thank you for being with us as we study and seek to learn more to the glory of your name. Please bless our studies and help us to remember they are for you alone, not a grade, not an education, not to give us a great job when we graduate, but so that your name will be proclaimed throughout the earth. We rejoice in your power and strength today! Thank you my King! Help us to keep our eyes, ears, minds, and bodies focused on you alone during this time of stress and anxiety. Give us the peace and comfort that surpasses all. Into your hands we commit our spirits! Lead and guide us with your mighty hand! Amen

2 Timothy 2:1, 5 &10: You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus... [because] if anyone competes as an athlete, he does not win the prize unless he competes according to the rules... For this reason I endure all things for the sake of those who are chosen, so that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus and with it eternal glory.
Remember that God has you at the exact place that He desires you to be, some are in school training up to become the next great leader in a business, a school, a church, or a home. All of the things that you have gone through this last year have made you the person you are today, and you will continue to encounter situations that will shape you even more into the person God has called you to be. Press through the finals, papers, and professors, and just believe that He will use every circumstance to bring you closer to the finish line!

Thank you for your prayers and exhortation to finish the best we can. I got done today and am sitting with a mush brain right now as I am able to relax for the first night in a while. I'm so grateful for God's sustaining power.

Thank you, Mr. Giglio. And thank the Lord for that post. I'm not in school right now, but I so needed that encouragement. It's been so busy and I've been so tired, I found myself saying, "Lord, I am so empty, I can't go on, I don't want to go on, I am in no way motivated or excited about what's on my plate. Somethin's gotta change." And forget about being excited with what has to be done. I was completely losing sight of Him and giving everything back to Him as an offering of worship. And THAT'S for sure when things drag.
Is. 40:29 brought such freedom! How powerful is the Word! It set my eyes back on Jesus again, too. "To breathe Your presence and walk in Your strength." Definitely my prayer for today. How quicklly I forget that CHRIST is my strength. But He is faithful--the "everlasting God", and Emmanuel, God truly WITH us. Praise Him!!
Thanks again,
Kayleen

King Jesus,
I come before you right now... typing this message, but I know that You hear us in every form. Lord, I thank you for the incredible passion staff, and their perseverance. God, prepare my heart for passion. Help me to go in with a pure and humble heart, seeking you in every way. Help all of us not to focus on a name or a group, but let us all glorify the only one worth glorifying. God as Louie said, SAVE US FROM OURSELVES.

perfect timing to be reading this... thanking God I can rely on His strength knowing I can't do this on my own, but it is Christ who strengthens me
Waiting...
"those who wait for the LORD
Will gain new strength;
They will mount up with wings like eagles,
They will run and not get tired,
They will walk and not become weary."
