  • SHINE!!! Wow I went last year and was blown away. You did it again! I loved it. Now we must take this joy to the world. The last week(I went to a conference before Passion) has been the best week for me in the past few months. I feel so alive.
Thank God for His Son and that we can celebrate Him!!!

  • Amazing!

  • WOW! I've telling people all week there's an a approximation of 24 thousand AND THREE...students here!! Being apart of that 24,003 was the most amazing experience! I would give everything in the world to worship in heaven, like Louie said, with the whole world!

I cried listening each night as 24,003 students sang TOGETHER in harmony...glorifying GOD and His name!

How amazing will it be when it's 6.5 Billion...and we're all glorifying his name together...tears won't be enough!!

  • 14Do everything without complaining or arguing, 15so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe 16as you hold out[a] the word of life—in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor for nothing."

  • Hey Louie,

I watched through the streams online. I just wanted to know if there were plans for future conferences next year for Passion 08. I really would like to come and experience the presence of God at the event with 24,000 people instead of watching it on my computer for the last 3 days.

    Thanks,

  • I was totally blown away! I went to Passion '05 and it was great but this year was just awesome! God really spoke to my heart about missions. I already had a mission trip planned to China for the month of May and hearing Louie talk last night about missions was great. God turned my little flame for the nations into a roaring fire! I cant wait to go to China and "let my light SHINE!"

At first I was a little sad because I have been waiting for a really long time to be able to go to Passion because I'm not old enough yet...but then I realized that this is SO much better because now the WHOLE WORLD can know about Jesus, and that gets us closer to the end and the biggest party in history!! • I just got home this evening and went outside to take my dog for a walk. (It feels like summer in North Carolina today). And I looked up at the stars and Jesus tugged at my heart once again. "You're still up there, in all your glory, like you were when I stood outside with 24,000 friends."

Thank you God, for Passion, and doing a work in me me so that I don't need Passion to have passion for you.

Oh that my generation would SHINE.

    Thank you, Jesus

  • All I can say about the new vision is "RIGHT ON". As Piper said at Passion 05...this Gospel is not meant to stay at a little Passion event, this Gospel is meant to go. So go passion go!

  • This year I was only able to volunteer one day, Monday, during registration. I am sitting reading the comments with tears streaming down my face...how I wish I could served longer, to witness more of this firsthand. What an awesome opportunity for these college students. I am so anxious to hear the full details of what was announced, where Passion is going, what SHINE is all about? I see it all over the place here...no idea what that means yet but something powerful no doubt. Can't wait to catch up with my comrades tomorrow who were able to volunteer longer and hopefully have details they can share with me. Thank you Louie and the whole Passion team for your hard work, thank you for the awesome opportunity to be a small part of something so huge. Bless you all!

  • I saw God answer my prayers this week! As I watched many of you come into the prayer rooms I was moved to tears. I asked for His power to be unleashed and His message to be heard. Ladies and gents He did it! I will continue to pray for you. Now you have to do your part, Go!

  • SHINE!
Here's an idea a couple of us came up with during worship this morning when Louie was sharing the news & progress of Do Something Now: How about creating a group on Facebook that would be willing to send a Compassion International student to college!?!
SHINE for God's Renown...All Over the World!

I'm back home in New Jersey this evening - still reeling, still processing, still praising and still thanking everyone at Passion for all they do to spread the Gospel ALL OVER THE WORLD!

Louie, I'm bringing a group of middle school and high school students to sing praise in Continental Arena on Feb. 18th! The Northeast needs to be filled up with passion for God! Thanks for coming to the NYC area.

  • More favorite memories...

    * the "cool" table on the registration team

    * Gail on 7th floor says: "Meeting blogettes for the first time at Passion '07." (yeah, uh-huh, yeah, uh-huh)

    * when students called us "Miss" instead of "Ma'am" (we all felt young)

    * Travis' drumstick breaking and flying off stage during the one second i opened my eyes, and to the lyrics of "'Cause I know that You're alive/You came to fix my broken life" and realizing that not any human can fix a broken drumstick, really. Yet God fixes broken lives, hearts... and drumsticks with ease.

    * riding on the flatbed, singing: "I will become even more undignified than this!"

    * unnecessarily including the word "overflow" in every sentence to my friend who worked in GWCC (hehe)

    * taking the Mickey out of Gail all night long

    * seeing people totally broken, and absolutely surrendered to God in the pure grace room

    * watching the light spread in the candlelight service

    * singing to Atlanta about the glory of God

    * watching from the 7th floor of the Omni (guess who?) as the students walked by, shouting and singing praises to Jesus, and waving back at them

    * our first experience of vegemite on oyster crackers (most of us washing it down with chocolate truffles)

    * the sharing of fresh and squeaky Wisconsin cheese curds

    * loading out the prayer room with a bunch of South Africans (Team B from the prayer journey... Gail says they rock)

    * getting guitar lessons from my fellow floor buddy in Phllips (without a guitar)

    * seeing excitement and anticipation as students arrived; and seeing glory reflected in them during worship

    * being overwhelmed by the hospitality of Atlanta

    * ringing in the New Year by watching Donna and Silke jumping on the bed, and singing "How can I keep from singing..." (but, how CAN we?)

    * getting 22000+ students registered with barely a line

    * the OVERFLOW of giving to Global Awakening (Wow! Did God show up mightily!)

    * hourlessly debating the height of two singers, and finding that Matt always wins (the typing blogette now hiding in the bathroom under Gail's protection, while others try to attack)

    * waving at the other Omni tower at New Year's, and seeing other people beginning to wave back (primitive communication at its best)

    * Rowan checking up on his mum

    * the many sweet students in the store who expressed thankfulness for all the volunteers at the conference

    * the student hugs and "hi fives" at the end

    * soaking our feet in the bathtub after load-out and "putting on my British socks" after that :)

    * realizing Passion uses Macs, and loving them even more

    * the "shine" wristbands...

    * seeing which blogette will keep hers the longest (not me; it's coming off next Wednesday)

    * dinner with the blogettes, closing out Jocks and Jills

    * students cheerfully listening even after delays and technical difficulties (i'm just glad i'm still alive)

    * Drawing near to God during the sessions we were able to attend, as well as in between sessions.

    * typing this blog and telling stories...

Donna, Gail, Jess, Kim, and Silke :)

  • Praise God!!! Words cannot do describe how I feel right now. I just pulled into my home and tears are still flowing. God has opened my eyes like never before. Thank You Louie and all of the Passion guys for providing the medium for Christ to penetrate me to the soul. My life is changed. I have been on many "Church Trips" none have moved me in a way that Passion has. As Louie said in the beginning, I experienced a true "spiritual overload". Pray for me please as I pray for all of you who were there with me that we will never lose this passion. God Bless,

  • I just got back. Sadly, was unable to stay for this morning's session, but will definitly watch the stream.

As I sit here, I am trying to express my feelings, but all I can think is wow. God is so awesome. Last night, to be outside among 24,000 silent college students was awesome. I thinkk I am still processing all that I heard. It was just awesome. The one thing that comes to mind right now is just how great God is, and he cares about our hurts, and He provides for us.

  • Passion '07 was awesome! I am just so thankful that I had the chance to come for the first time and experience it all through volunteering. I just wanted to say what a blessing all the students were I came in contact with the last few days. Thank you to those who walked me to my hotel room when I was walking by myself... Thank you for the random conversations... Thank you to the volunteers (new friends) I met who were so encouraging... Thank you to God for reminding me that if He is calling me somewhere (like Atlanta) on my own, that He will provide EVERYTHING I need because He's ALL I need. This has been an amazing trip. I can't even tell you all the Lord has done.

May you all follow what God is calling you to in your life. Remember that He will be your ALL in ALL!

See You in Chicago and/or Toronto!!! Finally coming Northbound!!! I am Loving it!!!

  • Like I kept hearing over and over this week, God chooses to do certain things with our lives if we allow him. No matter if that be full time ministry or mission work, God has a purpose for each of us. It is so scary for me to trust another person with my car, so how am I supposed to trust God with my life, career, and future?

I believe God was affirming something in my heart this week. I am so impatient because I want Him to scream it out to me. I want him to tell me exactly what to do. But understanding what he wants me to do is the journey I have chosen to take with him. Never did God promise he would tell us what our purpose was in explicitly clear ways. God longs for us to journey with him. It is not a destination God is calling us to, but a life journey with Him.

I want to thank Passion for opening my eyes to the journey. This conference was a small step in that journey and hopefully I will remain faithful to the call of Jesus on that road.

    -Eric

  • so, i just wanna praise God for this past week in ATL!
i had made my decision that i WAS NOT coming to passion this year because of the lack of money. but once i declared i was NOT coming, God placed people in my path and kept providing opportunities for me to change my mind. i began to pray and sunday, dec. 31 at 2:15pm i registered and left home at 5:00pm that same night to meet back at my school for new years eve before heading to the ATL. i got to atlanta and listened to the speakers and bands, but my PRIDE stood in my way to allow my mind to communicate what my ears heard with what my heart felt. i began to doubt that coming to passion was really what God wanted wednesday afternoon after john piper spoke and i could not see how being set free of guilt had anything to do with me.
i spent my time after the breakout going with some of the other girls from my school to ungerground atlanta and the coke factory, when i started to see God working, putting the puzzle pieces together. a lady at the coke factory asked what this Passion thing was about, and what an opportunity to SHINE! then, our waitress in Johnny Rocket's asked the same thing...then we walked back to the philips arena when i stopped at CVS to buy batteries for my camera. who knew that would be a blessing? we met a guy from another group at passion that stayed behind with us girls since walking the streets at dark isn't very safe. he was holding a bowl of goldfish crackers. i came out of CVS and one of us asked why he had that bowl. we found out later as we approached the last block before the CNN center. there was a homeless guy holding his tobagon out for money for food. his tobagon was the exact size for the guy with us to simply rest the whole bowl of goldfish in it, in his hands. the homeless guy said God Bless and we went on to hear louie speak.
thats when it hit...God broke me in the arena when i saw louis using his rope representing life to tie himself up, making his life all about him...and i saw myself with my own life rope wrapped around me so that i was tied up. my pride had captured me and was killing my witness. i was stripped of my pride and i heard God telling me i need to use my life as the b-line straight to the AFTERPARTY!
Then, john piper's message became clear, as well as frances's, and beth's. i was so guilty of my pride but i know that i can RISE again and SHINE becasue of God's Marvelous Light! I now have to remind myself of how much i LOVE Jesus and I have to work on being more humble, and not allow my pride to tie me up again. God does have a purpose for the way he works. I don't doubt that...and I was meant to come to this conference for the first time, and maybe the last for a while, to be re-awakened and realize i need to re-asses the way i SHINE. Thank you passion, and most of all, PRAISE GOD!!!

  • DO SOMETHING NOW

Spectacular opportunities here. The Freedom center in Northern Iraq really touched me when I heard about hundreds being turned away because the workers were few...!!! God has recently shown me that he wants me to spend my life teaching (English), and any details past that, "I don't know." But the idea of so many eager people willing to lay aside the religion they grew up with to be open to the gospel of Jesus Christ...that made me tremble. However, when I got home I realized I had only checked off on the little folded paper that I would pray about going to Iraq; I didn't realize there was a list separate from that. And I suppose it doesn't really matter because God will show me where He wants me anyhow, but I just wanted to let ya'll know, you've got one more on the plane posters than you thought you did. Whether God wants me there, I know God's doing spectacular things among the Kurds. Praise God!

I pray that we all continue to praise him until the ends of the earth and that the words of beth, louie, francis, and john remain with us as a motivation to shine for the world. Thank you Passion Conferances for yet again leaving me inspired and moved towards action. May God bless all 14 of you, and the thousands of volunteers and leaders..

  • Yes, please make available the CD(s) that were playing before the sessions - incredible mix.

Also heard a rumor that the DVD's of the sessions that were for sale may not be the full length like what was/is available on the streams, but, rather, abbreviated???? Passion, pls tell me this is a nasty rumor! I return to Nigeria in March as a long-term missionary and bought the DVD's to take with me to share over there..

  • Passion was amazing. God moved in a huge way in my heart and in other people's hearts. I was so blessed to hear you say that it was time for you to go international. I can't tell you how happy that made me. All I can say is go. People all over the world are hungry for God. You told us about the e-mails you always receive about going to a foreign country with Passion. We learned about the hunger of the Muslim people for Jesus. I would just like to add to that the hunger of the Europeans. They, too, want to know God as more than just a formaility. They, too, want to know what it means to love God with a passion. Thank you for being willing to follow God's direction. You have been used by God to bless my heart immensely.

  • FACEBOOK GROUP:Passion '07 was Mmmazing

I wish I could post one word on a blog and gets 64 comments. ;-)

This is one of two conferences I've ever been to that I believe will have true, lasting impact in my life. The first was Gold Rush at Perimeter Church in suburban ATL. That's where I met my Savior. This second has served to confirm my calling from God, and I can't help but say, "God, send me!"

Thanks for all your work; the Creator is more glorified by His people because of it!

  • "let my life shine, come on let my heart shine, we're going walk the world, and lift the bread and wine, like the stars shine, come on let our heart shine, in a dark world, we lift the bread and wine"

Amazing words, amazing song! SHINE! May we all shine in God's glory! Sad that Passion is over but it was an amazing week, I could just feel it when I was watching the streams. It was a great idea to put up those streams on the internet! For the people whop werent able to come, those people could be still part of this!

Louie & TEAM thank you for all you hard work! I heard there is an idea of going abroad!!!! I'm excited:-) Come to HOLLAND:-D

Donna, Gail, Jess, Kim, Silke, Lisa, great to see Passion through your eyes! Have been praying for you guys a lot, and I can't wait to read your stories on 'Our God Reigns' blog:-)

And last but not least! THANK YOU GOD! Thank you for all of this! I can't describe in words how GREAT You are to me and to us everyday!!! I love YOU!

  • Last night on the way back to Charleston, WV from Passion...and it was rainy and there were many wrecks throughout the trip. I became on of those wrecks due to hydroplaning. My car is totalled and I have no family to support me and it was only the Amazing staff at Passion who helped me come to Passion this year to begin with. Praise God that other than a huge bruise on my leg I am fine!!! Please pray for financial problems that arise now. I go to school 4 1/2-5 hours away and have no idea how I will get back to school. I had full coverage insurance but no amount of money or way to finance a car. Please please please pray for me and this situation because these are situations when trusting God is ALL you can do...and ALL I WILL CONTINUE TO DO!!! thanks!
    GLORY BE TO GOD!!!

  • I have been participating in Passion from my bedroom. Thank God for the stream. And John Piper's words were God's words, the truth of the Gospel, that has set me free. I dont feel free, and I dont know if I'm going to have to deal with this an hour from now, much less tomorrow morning. But I want to shout it from the rooftops now - because I can! Because of Micah 7:8-9!
I have never known the glory of the cross before. I became a Christian when I was 7. So I accepted God's forgiveness for my sins when I commit them, but always felt taht I had never messed up enough to doom my destiny, or the course of my life from being the best one it could possibly be. Well it looks like I've done that. Who knows what could have happened over four years? But NOW I know the GLORY of the CROSS! My life IS ruined in its course beyond my future compensation. But that's exactly what Jesus forgives, truly. And I have a debt I can never soothe the pain of for him. He will always carry it. And I will have to learn to accept that thats the kind of God he is! And that's the true TREASURE of the cross for me, that I have yet this morning discovered.

I went to Passion this year, but I'm re-watching some of it online-so thanks for that opportunity!

I'm totally behind you guys in the new direction the wind is taking you! I'll defiitely see you next year-somewhere around the globe!

--Thank you for speaking truth, thank you for NOT teaching "cheap grace!"

*I learned so much! Thank you for the warning not to waste my life! By God's grace, I will live radically for Him! I want to go to the darkest places on earth and let Him SHINE through me! Because though I am weak, HE IS STRONG!

  • Isaiah 8-9:

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?"
And I said, "Here am I. Send me!"

He said, "Go and tell this people:
    " 'Be ever hearing, but never understanding;
be ever seeing, but never perceiving.'

  • Wow, Wow, Wow! Praise God for an amazing week!

I am leading a team of college students to work in South Dakota this Spring Break. We will be serving the campus of Black Hills State University alongside the students there.

We are so excited about taking the Gospel to that campus and cheering on the ministry that is happening there now. By the way, Louie, we can save you a couple spots on the plane if you want to make good on your vow to make it to South Dakota someday.

  • My husband and I (lead worshipers for our church) returned from Passion last night. Our children were asleep. This morning, it did not take our three-year-old long to notice the SHINE bracelet on my arm. He asked and I answered. He said, "Mama, I want to shine for Jesus, too. Can I have a bracelet?" So we gathered paper, scissors, tape, and a yellow magic marker, and with joy in my heart taped a paper bracelet on a 3-year-old lover of God. Here's to God and Passion reaching the Class of 2021.

  • Back in BERNE INDIANA. As I'm reading all these blogs, I see how much everyone is on fire for God. I pray that the fire in our hearts keep burning. Too many times I've been to conferences like this one (PASSION being the best of all of them) and I return home on fire for God, but within 3 months i am back to where i was before. I pray with all my heart, that the 24,003 people who attended this event will let their fire SHINE and never dwindle. Much love to all of you!

  • Before coming, I was honestly somewhat skeptical of what seemed to be the trendy thing to do. In at least some of the Christian circles I am in here in Georgia, it sometimes feel that getting the latest Passion CD or talking about what Louie will say next is like the Pez dispenser that Francis talked about. I am amazed at how sincere and truthful the whole week was. Every speaker, musician, and volunteer affirmed that Passion is about more than a Conference, a well refined product, or a trend. Thank you for speaking truth this week and God bless in what is to come!

I will definately be praying hardcore for all the staff of Passion!! It's always been my dream to work with a group that traveled and did short term missions, which I'm hoping my band will do soon! God bless ya'll and again, you are in my prayers!!

  • I quick thank you! I volunteered at this Passion for the first time and convinced my 18 yr old niece to come with me although she would be by herself the whole time. She resisted and almost wanted to leave a few times during the first two days but something began to happen in her. Well at 1am on the last night she accepted Christ in our hotel room. What an amazing moment! You changed her life and mine as well.
We both will never forget this.
Thank you for bringing Jesus closer to us.

  • WOW! Passion was amazing. Thank you so much for seeking to glorify God through an event like this! Praise Him for how He worked so mightily this week!

I so loved the picture Louie painted of heaven with people of all languages and cultures praising God. I was in the Family Christian Store today and I found Hillsong United's "United We Stand" CD in SPANISH. I already have it (and love it) in English. The first thing I did upon arriving home was play "Fire Fall Down" in English and Spanish at the exact same time. It was perhaps only a tiny little glimpse of heaven, but it was beautiful nonetheless.

  • This week I was so honored to serve all of you as a Touch Team volunteer. It was an amazing week! In the busyness of the week, I didn't have much time to write down my thoughts. This morning I sat down to write a few thoughts about "Shine," I have a journal that has scripture printed on the bottom of each page. When I turned to the page I would write on today and looked at the scripture it said:

"The path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day." Proverbs 4:18

Isn't that cool? I pray that we will all keep shining more and more!

  • This year was my first passion experience! DEFINATELY NOT THE LAST! I cant wait to see passion go to the ends of the earth and that ALL nations will be proclaiming Christ as their LORD sooo soon!

I am still crying tears for what passion has done for me!!! Although my feet feel bruised and still hurt and I'm completely exausted, Id still love to be worshipping among 24,003 people who are so on FIRE and who are proclaiming CHRIST! I cried in most services just seeing so many people lift up their hands and sing and dance for Christ! Seeing that many people worship makes me see how HUGE my father is! It still breaks my heart that I had to leave to come back to the reality and filth of the world.

Like the candles before they were set ablaze, I was dry and covered in wax. Having 24,003 people light my candle and continue to light it each time the wind would smother it, I was set on fire and my tears fell and my heart melted similarly as the wax.

Running throught the streets SCREAMING FOR CHRIST = AMAZING and SO SURREAL!

I am new at truely understanding that i can have an intimate realationship with my father. I am a new born, a baby! This conference was great and it was great to start off the year worshipping God!

Although I am childlike in my walk, let God speak through me, so that I can be the flame in my family's life and my friends life, and beyond! I pray that God will call me to serve Him because i desire to tell people about Him, but let that not be a personal desire but God's desire for me!

THANKYOU to everyone who just made this thing happen, and let Passion like the holy spirit "sit enthroned forever becasue your renown endures through all generations." Psalm 102:12

  • So this was my first Passion Conference and I was sooooo blown away by this event. This was something I knew I had to go. I wanted to go to last years conference but couldn't so for a year I knew that I was coming to Passion 07. Something inside of me was like you have to go experience this and did I ever experience something. I got home last nite and was left in all kinds of confusion and I know I have things to sort out for myself.
Thanks for making this one of the most amazing weeks!

  • This was my third time volunteering at a Passion event. As I got to Atlanta, I couldnt help wondering if this time I would feel like I had "been there & done that". Maybe this year would not live up to my memories. I should have remembered this is Passion. What amazes me every time is that as much as the students are blessed, we volunteers are amazingly blessed as we worship with you. It is such a privilege to volunteer at Passion. Just to be a part - in any way - of what God is doing in so many lives. This year was life changing for me. Francis Chan made me think about lukewarm Christianity, John Piper made me see grace in a new way. Thank you all!

  • Hi All,

I just got back to Austin, TX and am still blown away by the experience of Passion 07. I have never been to a place where there were that many Christians congregrated in one place to praise the Lord! Just imagine what Heaven will be like!

I was able to experience Passion as a volunteer on the meals team. It was amazing to be outside and watch as 24,000 converged on "Food Drive" outside of Phillips Arena to pickup their box lunches. I was so impressed with everyone of the college kids that came through our carefully planned routes to get them into the buidings! Y'all rock and my prayer is that each of you will take the good news of Jesus Christ back to your campuses! Jesus is truly our helper, our saviour, our healer, and our friend. Thank goodness He calls me friend!

Louie and team, thank you so much for your service to the Lord!

    In Christ,

    -Randy (Austin, TX)

Its light SHINEs so far...to Belarus from the very USA. I am blessed by Passion, though I could't attend Passion 07, I am blown away by the movement. God be glorified by Passion in all its days!!!! • speechless...not just because passion was amazing and life-changing, but because of the reason we were all there together...to celebrate our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, our God who reigns!! PRAISE HIM!!!

it's easy to be on a "spiritual high" right now...but it is my challenge to myself and everyone else out there to keep this fire burning not just for a few days or weeks, but to SHINE for a LIFETIME.

  • I had never been to Passion before but i will tell you, it has changed the way i view my relationship with God. I want so desprately to fall in love with the Savior just like Francis Chan talked about. Ive questioned if im really for real, if im really on fire for God...the answer was no...no im not. But wow I want to be. Im so tired of it being nothing but physical labor and mental labor...I want it to be spiritual growth!!! I want to read the words printed in the Bible and fall in love with them! I want to pray continually! I want to live out the belief that there is a season 5 to life!!!! I want to sit on that throne and I desire to overcome. I read today in proverbs 13:19 that "the desire accomplished is sweet to the soul." How true is that? If we desire to be in love with Christ and we with His help accomplish that goal, it will be sweet to our souls!!!! What more incentive do we need???? Let your light shine followers of Christ! I'm begging you to let your light shine. Let it be a lght of encouragement to me and other believers and let it be a light of healing and forgiveness to those who are lost!!! Praise Jesus in everything you do and do everything to the glory of God. AMEN!

  • just got home like 3 hours ago...we left GA after passion and went to TN..we left TN today and got back home to NJ like 3 hours ago...i just can't explain how much i was blessed during Passion and how much i want to bless others after this encounter with God. I know that things won't be perfect but we gotta keep shining till the end. My prayers are with all of you and I can't wait until you take Passion to the nations. LET WORSHIP BE THE FUEL FOR MISSION'S FLAME!!!

  • God has been showing me His power in my time with Him and as I go about my day. God is so powerful! And His power is in Jesus, and Jesus is in us, and we are in Jesus, and Jesus is in the Father! We are surrounded by and filled with the fullness of the Deity! What power lives inside us! Be blessed everyone! What a mighty God we serve!

  • Just wanted to say that our prayers for South Dakota are working: someone I had randomly met from there just sent me a message on Facebook talking about past "failures" and was absolutely interested in listening to Piper's session online.

    SHINE for HIM!

  • God really spoke to me through the speakers as well. He just revealed to me so greatly how He really does here our prayers and answers. Most of the time His answers aren't visable right away but boy did He make then visable at Passion. I had been struggling with some of the questions that the speakers addressed. Especially Francis Chan. I had been wrestling for awhile with whether or not I was truly a Christian and am I truly in love with God. I felt like I was just going through the motions and I hated that. It was so encouraging to hear some one like Francis Chan, who we do see as being "more spiritual" than most, say that he had struggled with the same questions. I know now that I am not completely in love with Christ. But i want to be. I want to know His will for my life and I want to be in a true and deep love relationship with Him. It isn't easy, because the things of this world are so tempting, but I am willing to fight for it. I want to be a light for Him in this dark world. I want to scream and shout His name for all to hear! I will pray every morning for God to use me to advance His kingdom every day! And I will pray the same for all 24,000 of you that I was privileged to share this experience with. God Bless!

    I love you Jesus.

  • My heart still feels like it's in Atlanta. It was amazing, glorious, splendid, humbling, phenomenal. I don't know where to begin, but I do know this and all of you would agree with me that God showed up in a mighty way. May our light shine in the darkness and reap a harvest that is bountiful.

  • Tim Hughes and Ben Cantelon wrote the song "Happy Day". To my knowledge it is only currently available on "Soul Survivor Live 2006: Love Came Down" (you can order it online from the UK at www.soulsurvivor.com/uk). We sang it at last year's Soul Survivor conference and it totally rocked! Hope that helps :) Anyone able to fill me in on "SHINE" and the Passion plans for 2008? I live in Cape Town (South Africa) and was hoping to fly to the US next year to attend Passion '08 but now I hear it's not happening? I'm very confused!

  • Can someone please tell me who the girl was that sang with Chris Tomlin who was slender, had curly hair, and sang the second verse of "My Chains are Gone" every time that we sang it. I loved her voice!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 1/13/2007 11:45 AM

  • tim u may want to check the lineup for 07-08. Passion will be moving throughout the world. the girl singing was christy nockels, she was amazing!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 1/13/2007 6:56 PM

  • No it wasn't Christy Nockels because she was the main backup singer for Tomlin. I know who she is. But the other girl was younger and sang backup the whole time with Tomlins other friends and then the only time you could hear her was when she sang the 2nd verse solo. I've searched and searched and can't find her anywhere. I'd like to know so I can check out if she has solo stuff.
