More Passion 07 Ripples

Encouraging stuff as you continue to share your stories:

Dear Passion,
Wow. I just finished listening to the latest podcast and that is all that I can say. I am so glad that you let us share our stories. It is so encouraging to hear all of them. The one that really stuck out to me was Janelle's. That's because I too stood during that prayer on the last day. I know that God has called me to pack up the American dream and become a part of His story overseas to the unreached. But before Passion, I was afraid. I had wrestled with that calling for a least a year and then finally in early 06' I surrendered to God. I knew that He wanted me to go into missions, so I said "yes, I'll go." But there was that fear in the back of my mind of living overseas, not knowing what was going to happen. I wasn't sure that I was willing to give up my security. And to top that off, my parents were not super crazy about this idea either. But during the "After Party for all Nations" talk I was completely shaken and in awe. I just started crying and shaking. God shook me up and showed me the real story: that it's not my story. And that He is going with me. I don't have to know where, or when or even how...but I just have to trust my Father and know that He's never ever going to let go of me. It's all about Him. Now I cannot wait to go!!! Something crazy and supernatural seriously happened during that last morning when you guys prayed over us. I'm trying to find the words to explain it right now, but I can't. All I know is that God changed something inside. Well, I could probably go on forever but I better let you get to reading the other emails from other people whose lives were changed just like mine. Thank you for following this vision to help this generation find the truth that we so desperately crave. God Bless!!!!!!! (SHINE! :)!! )
Lauren, IL
ps: You guys should definitely make a permanent podcast!!

So amazing to see what God is doing. Lauren, we are praying for you. Thanks so much for sharing your story.
PSS: The Global Awakening Passport area has just been update on the Passion website with info on our friends who can assist you as you go and our partners in the Do Something Now campaign.

  • Hey Lauren!

Your story is so inspiring to me because it reminds me so much about mine!
Since I was 12 years old I knew that God has called me for missiontrips or evangelism. I have lived knowing that calling all my life so far, but was always afraid to leave home and my country. I am (PROUDLY) South African and love my home and country very much.
On the last morning I also stood for prayer and since then something deep inside me changed forever. It is as if God switched something on! I believe that He is every last sacrifice worth and I will go wherever He sends me. At the moment I am waiting patiently on Him because I know that He has got a plan with everything that happens to me in my life. Never would I want to step out of His perfect will. I am proud of you and I think one of the most important things God asks from us is a WILLING HEART. He will bless you for this!

(You are welcome to e-mail me, Lauren)

    Baie liefde (Lots of love)

  • Lauren,

I love you, friend! I'm so glad that God has brought you into my life to be an encouragement to me and my faith. I know that it can be hard to drop everything and move far away...it'll be even harder to move overseas, but God will get you through it! I can't wait to come home and talk to you and hear more of your testimony! God's going to do amazing things with you, Lauren!

    See you soon!
    Beth

P.S. You're going down in Scene It! ;-)

"Praise the LORD, all you nations; extol him, all you peoples.
For great is his love toward us, and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever.

    "Give us clean hands; Give us pure hearts; Let us not lift our souls to another;
Oh God let us be a generation that seeks, seeks your face oh God of Jacob."

Yes Lord. Please keep moving in our hearts. We hold on to you!

  • Hi, it is so sad that passion is only doing one more episode. because of this I am considering creating a podcast that would fill in after passion stops their podcasting. If you have interest in this and would like to find out how you can help please e-mail me at stampsrule@gmail.com and please put the subject as passion podcast.

  • It's sad to see(or is it hear?) the podcast ending, but I guess having a Passion 07 podcast 2 months after the event is strange. It still feels like only a couple of weeks ago. Thanks for the work put into it to prepare us for Passion and keep us updated afterwards. I can't wait to hear about the world tour. Please keep us updated about it as much as you can.

  • To God be the Glory, great things He hath done. So loved He the World that He gave us His Son..... such simple words, yet so full of life. Such strong and powerful are just a couple of those words. Great things, not mediocre or halfway....but great, extravagant, huge, infinite....gave us, to willingly and freely allow something to be passed to another. a gift....but not just some gift...th eultimate gift. Th eforgiveness of sin and the allowance to be called His children. How great is the One who is above all things.

  • 'How great is the One Who is above all things.'

    Beautiful. And TRUE!

One of my favorite verses is Psalm 145:3:
Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.

Glory in the highest! Great things He indeed has done, and will continue to do.

    He is everlastingly faithful!
