Headed To DC
If you've been around the Passion Movement for any time at all, you know that we have a very special knack for bad weather. OneDay03, enough said. Passion LA, torrential rain in one of the sunniest cities around. This weekend, as we head to DC, things are no different. Crazy winter weather is on the way.
When I was meeting with college leaders in DC in January it was warm and sunny, leading most to say, "Just wait till February, we'll have ice and snow for Passion DC." I laughed, hoped they were wrong, but knew they were most likely right.
But, think about how life-changing OneDay03 was, in spite of the storms. LA was great. And Dallas was beyond amazing last weekend, even with heavy rain and storms all weekend. All that to say we are on our way to DC today, and believing God for a weekend that will change history...weather or not.
If you're coming to join us, take some extra time to get there and come ready for something special.
See you soon,
LG

I will be praying for DC...I read this scripture yesterday and it seemed appropriate for the "God of this City" message that Passion is carrying right now: "Then THIS CITY will bring me RENOWN, joy, praise and honor before all nations on earth that hear of all the GOOD THINGS I do for it; and they will be in awe and tremble at the abundant prosperity and peace I provide for it." Jer 33:9

Amen to Jer. 33:9.
We believe!

well I will be praying for safe travels, smooth set-up...all those logistics that it takes to pull off an event!
what a pivotal area of our country for y'all to be in right now! I will pray that the Glory of God's Name will shine so brightly, piercing through the darkness, that people cannot help but be drawn to Him!!
BELIEVING the Greater Things are Yet To Come,
AM
PS---Anna, my husband was just reading in Jeremiah about the City of God and that particular passage and we thought about Passion too! :)

I'm praying for you and those who will be there...I can see that God is doing great great things and I already praise Him for what He will do because He has already done it, and even if it will not be sunny this weekend in DC surely "for those who rever His name the SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS WILL RISE with healing in its wings" :)
God be praised and glorified!!!
Love Daniela

Hi guys,
WOW! I certainly remember attempting to sleep (or was it stay alive!) in my tent during the OneDay03 storms! Amazing!
As you face this impending weather, I'm reminded of Psalm 148:8 which says...
"Praise the Lord from the earth, you great sea creatures and all deeps, fire and hail, snow and mist, stormy wind fulfilling his word!"
In the middle of whatever He sovereignly brings this weekend, we'll be praying for "...a sound like a mighty rushing wind..." to fill the places where you are seated! (Acts 2:2)
Praying,
David, Kimberly and Carly Guion

Praying for the students in DC, definitely.
Several of us from the forgotten state of Arkansas (thanks Louie!, hah) have gotten a wild hair and decided to drive to the big ATL for Passion all over again.
You just can't get rid of us.. :)
Incredibly blessed to be part of GOD's great story.

God is in control of the weather, the same God who made the heavens and the earth, so let's not agree that it will be bad. Only good comes from God's hand... and in His word you will see that many times rain indicates His favor.
We ask God to remove any bad weather that hinders travel and discourages, in the strong name of Jesus, and look forward to all He has planned!

9 people from Toronto, Canada (4 flying, 1 driving, and 4 car passengers) are headed to PassionDC. one of the flights has been canceled due to storm. we've been put on a much later flight than anticipated, and that flight has a high chance of cancellation as well. so please pray for us as we make our way down.
hopefully we'll be able to join in on PassionDC on friday night and not saturday morning. but better late than never!
totally excited for the great things that will happen in DC this weekend!

Louie, Shelly,& PAssion team,
WOO-HOOO!!!!! ALready here staying with personal friends in the area. Will see you, Louie and Christine, and the passion team with the other volunteers in the morning.
Came to meet with JESUS even as a volunteer exspecting great things from this weekend.
I love the smaller gatherings (more intimate and get to see everyone or same people more often and know them better) even though you all do not favor them as much.
REMEMBER, GOD CAN STILL DO AMAZING THINGS REGARDLESS OF THE NUMBERS. HE IS.... period !! I love to see this reminding us that HIS ways are not our ways and His are not ours. I got here before the storm and am prayong for safe travel for everyone and for the students and the leadership team. I cannot wait to see what God has planned for everyone involved !!!
See you soon & God Bless,
Angela

We have a group of 22 heading your way from Pittsburgh tomorrow. It's already getting slick here, and the forecast is not real promising.
But God is in the business of calming storms, right?
We appreciate all the prayers for safe travel.

Psalm 51: 10 - 15
Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Do not cast me from your presence
or take your Holy Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of your salvation
and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
Then I will teach transgressors your ways,
and sinners will turn back to you.
Save me from bloodguilt, O God,
the God who saves me,
and my tongue will sing of your righteousness.
O Lord, open my lips,
and my mouth will declare your praise.

Passion D.C.:
I am pumped for you all to be there this weekend. I am home in the Midwest sending my prayers out to all of you there. Passion Chicago was an amazing experience and I was so blessed to be able to be a part of it. I totally wish I was out there with all of you now, but I also know that it isn't the conferences that will change the hearts of this nation. It is you in D.C. And those from Chicago, Dallas, LA, etc. It is our desire to let the name of God resound on our lips on our campuses across the nation.
Our God is an amazing God and I know that He will be doing some powerful things out there this weekend. Let your hearts be open to what it is that God has planned for each and every one of you. From the heart of the Midwest, I'm sending my prayers and love.
Let's change this world.

The God we serve is AMAZING. We were at Boston Passion with our college/career group, better known as the Crazy Russians/Ukranians from RI.
Tonight I heard from my daughter and a Russian girl who found her way back to Jesus last year in Atlanta.
Praise God in all His Glory, that my daughter just told me it was amazing.
The Russian girl "Nina", said it was all new again.
Their voices and excitement was all about HIS GLORY.
So praise God for His servents that seek to bring His children to the foot of the throne to remind them that the FULLNESS OF JOY IS FOUND IN HIS PRESENCE.
Praise God for His worshippers and His children that are willing to ignore the storms and continue to remind us WHO we serve.
BTW, they never even mentioned the weather. PRAISE GOD!

You know how sometimes you pray, but it never seems to go somewhere? Well if not at least I do, or did. You see I have been chasing after everything to fill the hole I feel in my soul. I've gone to church since the crib pretty much but I've never really seen my Christianity as anything extraordinary. That is until I came to Passion tonight in D.C.! I wanted to thank you as well as everyone else who has been praying from the bottom of my heart. God softened my heart tonight and restored me. I feel so free and I AM UNASHAMED of what my Savior has done for me :) Brittney S.

To the Passion Team:
One day I will get the chance to share with you guys what He has done through this movement in my life, but for now I just wanted to both thank--and even more importantly, e.n.c.o.u.r.a.g.e. you in this vision of seeing God reign in each & every city of this world. Man oh man--I certainly look forward to becoming number 15 on your team ;)
See you in Altanta.
-Nina (The Russian Girl)
(P.S. I love you Rocco!)
