_______

No, the 268Blog has not been high jacked. It’s us (well, more specifically, the Brazilian on our team) taking a small step to reach out to the students of the world. In an effort to connect with students and young adults in Brazil and the Spanish speaking world, the 268 Generation section of our website has been translated into Portuguese (thus the Portuguese message above) and Spanish, allowing new Passion friends to read and sign the 268 Declaration in their native languages.

While our base is squarely in the US, our hearts are for the nations, so Passion will continue to explore ways to call the collegiate generation around the globe to lives that are leveraged for the fame of Jesus Christ.

Thinking globally,
Ciao…
Louie

  • That's awesome!

I'm with John... I can't wait to see how God is going to continue to use the ministry of the Passion Movement for His glory in the coming years! Especially how it moves through the nations!

    So amazing!

And I must also add that I was a bit worried that my computer had a virus or something when I saw the first part of this post in Portuguese! But how cool is this?!

    Have an amazing day everyone!

    For HIS Glory,
    Andrea

  • NEW DAVID CROWDER CD!

Hey everyone... this just got pointed out to me yesterday, and I thought I'd share it... Louie made mention at the Thirsty Conference about a new lil' somethin' from DC*B, but didn't say what it would be.

If you check out the link below, it sheds a little light on the sister cd to "A Collision," cleverly titled, "B Collision," due in stores June 27. It's a collection of acoustic versions of tracks from the original.

    Here's the link: B Collision

    Enjoy!

Glória a Deus! I'm really glad that the Lord moves hearts among the nations and raises up His people to His good work and you have answered to His calling.

  • Hey, Louie,

That's so cool! The language thing, I mean...

For the "older" ones (by measure only; not at heart:) out there, the Passion '07 volunteer registration is now open! Yee-Haw! Atlanta, here we come (is that city ready for some Spirit-invasion?)!

Oh, and if y'all are going to go German or French, just let me know!

    For HIS glory!

  • I am heading to Brazil this summer to encourage the hearts of the churches in Itu, Soa Paulo, and Rio de Janeiro.

I was pumped to read some Portuguese on the blog. I grew up in Brazil and long to return after almost 14 years here in the states.

    Encouraged,

  • louie, i appreciate your updates on passion but i appreciate even more when you used to talk more about God and encourage us towards Jesus more than towards Passion. understanding that this blog is for 268, you have been given so much insight on living Christianity and i for one miss hearing those teachable moments. could you give the hungry blog audience something to chew on as far as walking with Jesus after Passion is over. i mean after you come down from the mountain experience, there is a life to live which is difficult and we can't be just looking forward to the next event or conference. just really would like to glean from the wisdom God has given you on how to not get so caught up in the vision God gives and still remain in the quiet hidden place with Jesus. your thoughts? very much appreciated and thankful for all that you do for His renown.

  • Hey!

And speaking of "thinking globally," I've just had my own little glimpse into God's international glory. I'm actually quite blown away by it! Did any of you know that there's a huge revival going through the whole of Germany? I had NO idea! But, God just tonight made it clear that He is not just the GOD of America, but GOD of the WORLD. So, if any of you wanna know the full amazing story, that's just now put me back into the mountaintop of P'06, just go and be encouraged by it on my blog (I don't wanna steal Louie's space:)

    Silke

P.S. Oh, I have a feeling there'll soon be quite a few Germans singing those EG songs with us:) Yeay!

  • That is wonderful! oh, How about chinese? there are approximately 1,313,973,713 people living in china who all speak chinese, and others like myself who have chinese heritage and also speak chinese, it'd be wonderful to expand the passion ministry to the chinese! they are so thirsty but don't know where to turn to!

Silke- great post on your blog. That is so amazing what God is doing there, I think we need to do more prayer!

Louie- Lets go global! That would be great to have this website in several languages so that almost anyone could read it. Let's let them know that they can be part of the family of God too!

    Ciao to ya'll!

  • I'm not sure it really matters, but I have www.268generation.org and that one works. So it may be your computer or you may need .org instead or .com.

  • "still waiting,"

The site uses a HEAVY amount of Flash. You may not have the latest version of Flash.

Also, if you're on a dialup or slow internet connection, it's gonna take FOREVER for a Flash-based page to load, unfortunately.

If this still doesn't help you solve your problem, feel free to contact me!

JAMBO! Big hello to Louie and the Passion house all the way from Tanzania, Africa. I'm here for 6 weeks on with Campus Crusade for Christ, Canada. We're doing campus ministry at the University of Dar es Salaam right now. I'm actually using one of their internet hubs right now. It's always good to check back with Passion. Anyway, this post is so appropriate! Pray for the nations. There are about 18,900 university students in all of Tanzania.. the campus we're at right now contains about half of 'em. What a key target area for this nation! please pray for us.. for disciples and spiritual multipliers to be raised up!

    thinking globally,
    steph =)

    Jesaiah 26; 8

Jawohl, Herr, waehrend wir in Deinem wahren Weg laufen, erwarten wir Dich hoffnungsvoll, weil Dein Name und Dein Ruhm die einzigen Wuensche unserer Seelen sind.
