28 Day prayer Journey To Passion 07 - Day 12

Day 12. Borders.

God's family transcends borders, nationalities, races, classes, continents and generations. Yet, governments are real and, as a result, the journey to Passion 07 is a bit more complex for our International friends. Here's the latest:

Rodrigo has a hearing in Brazil on December 20 and is still hoping.
so far, 5 Brazilians have requested visas... 2 have been approved.
An *******(East Asian) national received a visa yesterday. Huge miracle!
All South Africans received visas!
1 from Kenya was denied.
Of 50 Koreans, 48 visas were approved.
4 Romanians were denied this week. Other Romanians have visas and are coming.

Others receiving visas...3 Ukrainians, 1 Malaysian, 2 Filipinos, 1 Estonian, 1 Argentinean.
Of 18 Mexicans there were 15 visas approved.
All 13 from Slovakia were approved.
4 from Botswana were granted.
Thankfully, Puerto Rico, the UK, Ireland, Australia, Netherlands, Canada, New Zealand and others have visa waiver programs with the US or require no visas!

The brother of one of our Passion Staff/Team had his visa denied yesterday.
Others with upcoming appointments:
1 Filipino (12/19)
1 from Kazakhstan (12/20)
2 ******* nationals.
2 Macedonians
1 in India
2 in Nigeria
1 in Kenya.

Father we believe today that You have the entire world in Your hands. The nations are like a drop in a bucket to You. You open doors and close them, so we trust our friends to Your purposes, knowing that no plan of Yours can be thwarted. We would wish an early Christmas present to these and the honor of worshipping beside them in Atlanta. For Jesus fame in the whole earth, Amen.

May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine upon us, that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations." Psalm 67:1-2

  • Thank you God for providing the visas for so may students so far, especially for+++++++ from East Asia. May they all have safe travel to Atlanta and be swept up in worshipping you, the one true living God.

Loving Father please be with those whose visas were denied and in their rejection may your Holy Spirit be with them as the Comforter and give them your comfort and peace.

For those still to have hearings please pour your favour on the hearing and opens doors .We believe that nothing is impossible for you, our great and glorious God.

May those of us for whom travel arrangements have been easy never take it for granted that we can worship You freely when so much of our world does not have that privilege.

What a glorious day it will be when all nations, tribes and tongues will gather at your throne and worship you.
    Amen

I'm so thankful for the opportunity to go to Passion and I will definitely be praying that others waiting for their visas will get them! God's plan is perfect!

  • Lord, we ask Your hand of favor on these who seek to come to Passion and are in the midst of visa delays; that according to Your will You would open doors for them and bring them through. You can change the heart of a man and we ask that you would grant them favor with those making these decisions. We also ask you to encourage them in seeking after You, for safe travels, and for strength for the journey.

For those who wanted to come and have been denied the opportunity, we ask Your comfort to lift their hearts. Grant them a peace so strong it takes them by surprise. Let them sense Your presence in an incredibly tangible way this Christmas season and into the New Year. Let them be strengthend and encouraged. If they need teaching, we ask You to provide it. If they need fellowship, we ask You to provide it. We ask your hand of protection where it is needed. We ask you to fill their hearts with worship for You. We ask You to draw each one nearer to You and to fill them to overflowing and help them shine in their countries for You.

Thank You so much for each and every one of these people Lord.

  • i'm praying for you Rodrigo

and looking forward to your testimony
    on the 20th...

chick-fil-a awaits you...Jesus loves the chick-fil-a. yes he does. and He love loves the students who eat the chick-fil-a and power bars and starbucks and food court foods.

yes, Lord, visas for everyone! break it wide open! everyone to your banqueting table in Atlanta.

  • It would indeed be a privilege to worship with my brothers and sisters from these nations. Father, where we do not see any way I pray that you would make one. Let your will be done in all of our lives. Thank you for choosing me to be your child and adopting me into your wonderful family. Asking for miracles around the world today, Amen.

  • I'm joining all of these in agreement for those needing visas today. "The heart of the king is in the hand of the Lord..."

As a worker in East Asia, my heart is especially burdened for those coming from that part of the world. I'll be specifically lifting up those who are coming from there.

And to back up what was said a few posts back...I think Jesus does love chick-fil-a, and its often the first thing I eat when I get off the plane from Asia! ha! :)

  • We pray in Jesus' name that the nations will converge in Atlanta.

Praying especially for India. So that the nations may know of Jesus and that we may get a taste of what the multitude feels like in ATL.

Thanks for this update! It blesses my heart.

  • Prayin' for y'all.

    And remembering the purpose:

"that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations."

And check out the verse right after Is 26:8--verse 9:

    "My soul yearns for you in the night;
in the morning my spirit longs for you.
When your judgments come upon the earth,
the people of the world learn righteousness."

I so want y'all to come! But whatever happens, may our responses be such that the astounding nature of Christ shines through...even in disappointment. And may we be pressed closer into His loving heart, and praise Him for the wisdom of His ways. But I do so pray that you would be granted your visas!!

Ok, it's been a long week, so maybe there's something wrong with me, but can someone please enlighten me on the Chik-fil-a thing? Is Atlanta where the chain got started, or is it that there are no Chik-fil-a's in Brazile? Laugh as hard as you like, I know this is silly. But could you help me out? :)

  • I'm from Kenya, all the appointment dates are booked right through January. We are two of us and we need a miracle, that somehow we can get a date before 22nd of Dec. Pray with us.
We have faith that will be there with the rest of you guys. If you can fast and pray with us this Monday 18th Dec that God would come through for us, we'd be very grateful.

  • Gibson,
will pray and fast with you guys on monday... asking God for more testimonies of His goodness and provision!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 12/16/2006 8:37 AM

  • I'm praying for all of you. Rodrigo.....still praying for you my brother. Seeing that you continue to have faith with God regardless of whether He provides you with a Visa or not is very humble indeed and He will reward you for that.

I havn't had the chance to read every single post, but what I have read so far is just so amazing. The prayers/thoughts from everyone is just absolutely amazing and seen coming from God's people all over the world.

I also have a quick post not related to any of this. I have room for one more lady in my room. One of them is not able to come so there is now room for one more on the nights of Mon., Jan. 1 - Thurs., Jan. 4. Any of you ladies, or anyone who knows of one, that needs a room for those nights, please contact me at dversace@bellsouth.net. It is at one of the hotels at the P'07 discount rates.

    In Christ,
    Donna

  • Fasting on the 18th... great idea! I'm in!

Yes, Lord, open doors of nations wide! Let us all gather in Your name! More importantly, though, open the doors of every heart of people on earth (and beyond?) for YOUR message, YOUR love, and YOUR renown.

    Amen.
