  • Passion has left Sao Paulo now and I just want to leave here my appreciation, to say how grateful I’m for this movement, how special this weekend was to all of us that where called to participate in it. Thank you for coming to Sao Paulo. Everyone should participated in this conference and that’s why my dream is to see Passion going not just to those 17 cities, but to go far beyond that, reach many more. I know it cost money, time, volunteers, etc, etc… but nothing is impossible to God, and a movement like this should be heard by enormous crowds. Passion should be held in huge places like Rose Bowl stadium, Maracana stadium, Wembley, Camp Nou, Stade de France, universities stadiums, and so on, with 70, 80, 90, 100 thousand people and make the neighbors of these stadiums listen to songs of worship to the Holy One instead soccer club anthems. Instead of filling a beach with a million people for a concert with a band that won’t edify the Kingdom of God, we should fill a beach to listen to Chris Tomlin, David Crowder, Matt Redman, Michael Smith, with Louie Giglio, Francis Chan speaking, etc, etc, etc…. (I know it would hard to control it, maybe somewhat crazy, but than again, isn’t God’s grace crazy too?? Haha)
I loved Passion so much that I could travel the whole tour with it, but since I can’t I will just pray not just for Kampala, but for each city Passion will be, to the last one!!! And pray that Passion will keep on growing to more and more cities, nations and making Jesus famous and that we who stay, do our part in whatever country we are!!!
Thank you to every one who made this weekend possible. God bless you. But most importantly thank God for putting all together and making it happen!!!
    Love y’all

  • DO SOMETHING NOW HAS COME TO BRAZIL!!! YEAH!!! It's so awesome to see the family of God from all over the world unite to help the poor, the needy, and the least of these. May we do for them and to them what we would for Jesus. Thank you God for using us to change a hurting and lost world.

I'm so in awe of what God is doing all over this world, and the tour has only been to three of the cities so far!!! As the song goes

It's rising up, all around, it's the anthem of the Lord's renown, and together we sing, everyone sing, everyone sing....

HOLY IS THE LORD, GOD ALMIGHTY, THE EARTH IS FILLED WITH HIS GLORY

Can't wait to hear more of the greater things that have yet to come and of the greater things that are still to be done in each and every city by the power of Jesus Christ...AMEN

  • After an all-night bus ride, I’m back in Rio and can’t get over how amazing Our God is! When I gave an offering at Passion 2006 (Nashville) I never imagined that I’d be living in a position to see the fruit of this ministry as it went out to the nations; God is truly using Passion to reach the globe! As I worshipped alongside Chinese, Americans, British, and even a Dutchman (in both Portuguese and English) I got just a glimpse of what Heaven will be like!

Thank you Stockholm for your prayers and praise God for the impact that will be made here as Brazilians rise up on their campuses to represent Christ! KAMPALA you are in our prayers.

For non-Portuguese speakers , here is a translation of the comment left above: Passion Sao Paulo was simply more than my expectations! We hope you’ll return next year and who knows, it could happen in a much bigger place! May God be glorified forever!

  • I think the pictures say it all....God rocked Sao Paulo!! Been praying for you guys on Fri. Something quite weird (coincidental but am sure it's a God thing) happened Fri as I was in a work meeting and I sat next to a guy who was Brazilian. Never in my working life have I ever met anyone from Brazil through work and I knew that it was God reminding me (on Passion Sao Paulo day) that he's going to do great things in that city....and more!!!

Also like to share this verse in Revelation 4:11-13 (The Message)
"I'm on my way; I'll be there soon. Keep a tight grip on what you have so no one distracts you and steals your crown. I'll make each conqueror a pillar in the sanctuary of my God, a permanent position of honour. Then I'll write names on you, the pillars: the Name of my God, the Name of God's City - the new Jerusalem coming down out of Heaven - and my new Name. Are your ears awake? Listen. Listen to the Wind Words, the Spirit blowing through the churches."

    Praying for Kampala!

  • WOW... I mean... wow... I can't compose a sentence.. I mean, words fail me... I feel like there's nothing I could say that would completely express what is going on in my heart right now. I've just listened to the Podcast and it was like I was living it all over again. (BTW, Louie, count 42 people now, for I'm definetely going to listen to the podcasts from now on.)

I just pray that KAMPALA may experience the same things we did here in Sao Paulo in this weekend. It was mind blowing, it was unbelieavble... man, can you imagine what it's gonna be like in heaven? WOW! It's like: it can´t get any better than this. But in fact it can, somehow, I just can't imagine how... but until THAT very day, the eternal day, while we're his on this planet, we're gonna make GOD famous, LET'S MAKE JESUS FAMOUS!!!!!!!!

GOD, use the Passion Team in KAMPALA, may they experience all that we've exeperienced... and may it last forever!

Not our little lives, but HIS Great life, not our little stories, but HIS Great and Eternal and Amazing and Loving and Forgiving and Humbling and Magnificent and Awesome Story!!

Thank you so much for coming. Thank you so much students from Stockholm, America and everywhere for your prayers and financial support. Let's keep praying for the movement. I just wanna follow as this wave crosses the globe.

I'm gonna stop writing now, I'm sorry, this comment ended up too long... and I feel I could keep on writing... so, God bless you all!

  • Well,
I'll be quiet honest. I was not that excited for Passion before the actual day. I was wanting to give up since it seemed my friends would not go with me and I really don't like being alone in sermons. We all studied in a christian school all our lives and like some unfortunate of these my friends and i were not very christian.
In college we each had to make our own decision since we no longer had Bible classes imposed on us. Some decided to follow the world, a few of us discovered Jesus and are learning to follow Him each day.
Passion was the perfect oportunity to bring all these friends together and unlike any other time of our lives we were ALL yelling, crying, dancing and praising HIM!

    THANK YOU SO MUCH.
You guys have NO IDEA how much this meant to me!

I pray that God will bless ya'll so much and that you may be able to reach as many university students as possible!!!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 5/25/2008 5:04 PM

  • What can I say?
Since the very moment I walked into my house I didn't stop to talk about the Passion conference. My mom is almost asking me to shut up! rs.

It was really great. God is using you to reach our hearts and make us see how important is to make Him famous with our lives.

I want to thank you for bringing Passion to Brazil. I'm sure this will make difference in our city and country.
I loved Passion so much that I could travel the whole tour with you...Loiue, if you need a volunteer, please count on me!

God bless all Passion staff. I will pray for you and ask God to give you more strengh and fill you with His love, grace and joy.

Please, come back next year....we will be waiting for you!

I listen to the podcasts and I am just touched and in awe of how awesome God is and how much He is doing and how much He is impacting the world and each country that Passion visits. It's just purely amazing!

  • so im here in wisconsin, trying to fall asleep during a thunderstorm (not working!) so i just hopped online and to my delight there was the new podcast! (and i will admit it, im one of the original podcast listeners from the first journey to atlanta... with all the arrival info and parking instructions. gosh those were the days!)but i digress...

i must say that the passion and sincerity in your voice louie really touched me tonight. ive been praying for the cities inside my wristbands, and sao paulo has been on my mind since the chicago regional. after listening to the podcast, i feel like i was there jumping and dancing right along with them!! i only wish the regionals i was blessed to go to were half as loud and crazy as brazil (not saying we were quiet... cuz i know i had no voice for a couple days after DC & ATL) but the fire you described is what i feel in my heart and wish our generation here in the US would display it more freely with no reserve & let God finish his work in us!

prayers for safe travels and health to all involved. thanks for all you do and believing in our generation!

  • This is like the 3rd time I'm posting a comment on this post, but I can't help coming back here every now and then.

I'm praying for Kampala, for your travel, for your health, for the weather over there during those days, for the students, for all of you guys. I wish Kampala students may experience everything we have. I wish I could say "more than what we experienced", but I honestly can't imagine how it could be any greater than that... but, I mean, if there's anything better than that (besides heaven, of course) may them experience that as well and bring glory to God!!

I have a question: is Ashley's journal posted anywhere on the web? Or is there a talk in some of the DVDs in which Louie tells her story in details, reading from her journal, as he did here in Sao Paulo? I want to tell her story to my friends in all its details(who unfortunately did not attend Passion, even though I invited them so many times)! I wish I could go back in time and tie them up and throw them inside Via Funchal... lol. PLease, come back next year... I'm sure there will be a lot more students (btw, I was sure there were at least 2500 students there, are you sure there were 'only' 2100?).

    I want to be a Fruitcake! :-)
I want my life to count for God's bigger story! And I'm pretty sure this is the desire of nearly every student there in Via Funchal last weekend.

    God bless!

  • I thank God for that movement! In fact, I became a Christian about 2 months ago and God spoke loud to me at the Passion/SP conference. Before I met him, I was lost in alcohol (I used to drink a lot and lose control of all my acts), my family was broken, I was in financial trouble and spiritually empty... Now He came and changed everything and I worship Him because of it. At Passion, He showed me some things He wants to change in me so I can shine the Word through my mouth and my attitude. I let Him work at my life today and use me for His purposes. I'm so glad I can scream "I'm His child." and I pray that many more people can know about His Glory.

Thanks Passion, God keep on blessing you and making you free of vanity or whatever that may misunderstand the fact that this work is His work.

    My pray today it's:
Lord! I wanna be crazy!! not a crazy without objectives or without sense, but a CRAZY WITH LOVE AND COMPASSION, WHIT A REASON! I wanna be like someone WALK IN THE WRONG WAY of this world literally, someone who have arguments to influence everyone who call me crazy and prove that the way for I walk it's the better way, it's the only true way!!I wanna be a light that gives light through the oil!! the oil of Holy Spirit!
