One Month To Manila!!

We're back...and after a longer than expected hiatus, the Blog is back in business with 30 days to go until Passion Manila! While it's been great being back in the USA, we are eager to hit the road for Leg 2 of the Passion World Tour. It's hard to believe that in 30 days we will be walking into the PhilSports Arena in Manila and meeting a whole bunch of Filipino friends for an amazing night that is going to be all about Jesus. And speaking of Manila, are you guys in the UK still out there? Hopefully, there are still some wristbands that have survived since Passion London and you are still praying for Manila!

Not a day goes by that we don't think about Kyiv, Stockholm, Sao Paulo, Kampala, Paris and London....and all of you guys back home and around the world who have been praying for us and supporting the World Tour the whole way. Even though a few weeks have passed since we left Europe, there is just as much wonder in our hearts when we think about what God has allowed us to see as when we were standing in these amazing places cities. We are praying the same is true for you guys who were there with us....that it was more than an event and still as fresh in your hearts today.

A friend sent this along from a French student from outside Paris:
"When Chris Tomlin sang that bigger things are prepared for this city, I was thinking that it was not only Paris that he spoke of, but equally Compiegne. The people of God are a people who will grow. The youth are the future, and you can see that we are always more numerous, more motivated, and that the meeting places are filled for God...for the GBU (student ministry), started with only 2 people. Last semester, we filled my apartment. This semester we succeeded in filling a room on campus. I dare to believe that one day we'll fill a small amphitheater, and why not the bigger theater on campus? We are only ordinary, but we have an extraordinary God: together with Him we can accomplish extraordinary things."

I agree with Sylvain, and pray that the Church in France will grow and multiply all across the nation with hope, truth and grace for everyone. And I love the french translation of "Greater Things Have Yet To Come"...bigger things are prepared for this city! That's so true, and a possibility wherever people are confident that God can do anything.

Stay tuned!
LG

  • Awesome!(off topic but i think im suffering blog syndrome..i jumped when i saw the new post hehe) The cool part, two girls came from Africa to our city and came to our church, one was born in a small town of Fort Portal in Uganda all her life. I do not know if she knows what Passion is or not..but i am going to tell her tonight about my experience in Atlanta and show her some of the videos/pics from Kampala. I am so pumped as i usually get when i talk about Passion related thing..but think this is more special..she is leaving tomorrow to go back to Africa so. God is good that i can get it in before she leaves!

  • Its great to hear from the Passion Team. Isn't it amazing to know that there are thousands around the WORLD that are praying to this movement?

Yes. Our God IS mighty to save, and He's asking the same question around the world: is there anyone out there who loves His Son?

    Say Yes!

  • YAY! A new blog! It is sooooo great hearing about what's going on. Know that I am praying for Manila and the rest of the cities on the 2nd leg of the tour. Again, it's great to hear from you. :)

  • I thought I'd drop in and say, yes, Passion London wristbands still survive and are being worn!

Its been an amazing way to witness too - people ask what the band means, and we've found that we can then explain its about a Christian concert to bring glory to Him, our amazing God.

Six of us came to Passion London, and when we remember it we become overjoyed at the glory we were able to bring to God. Its brought our Christian Union closer together.

Our prayers are with you for Passion Manila, and all your other stops.

    God bless.

  • Right on, may bigger things that God is preparing come to France! I truly believe that He is preparing some of us for the good works that He wants to do in that nation. It's really exciting to dream about the story that is being and will be played out there.

  • "We are only ordinary, but we have an extraordinary God: together with Him we can accomplish extraordinary things"...
How incredibly true. I just finished watching "How Great is Our God" on DVD again with some friends, and that point was driven home to my heart once again. Ordinary people + Extraordinary God= anything is possible!
That's what we're all praying and believing and waiting for...
    The wave is growing...
    The Kingdom is advancing...
    JESUS HAS COME!

  • To everyone at the Passion House: Thank you for your hard work and determination to take the name of Jesus to all the world. Before serving as a volunteer for '07, I had not attended a Passion event. I was literally blown away (thanks to big sound)and my heart was moved as I saw the faces and heard the name of Jesus lifted up by thousands of college students.
I also had the awesome opportunity to serve at the DC and Atlanta Regionals '08. I am looking forward to the next time. Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of what God is doing in this generation.

  • The London wristband is definitely still intact! Although I'm not wearing it, I'm most certainly still praying. Praying that God will continue to open doors in the cities ahead of you and that hearts will be ready to lift up the name of Jesus.

Looking forward to Passion KL - I'll be there!!

  • Praying for you guys every day!(And still wearing my wristband from DC) I'm looking forward to seeing all God has in store for the second leg.

  • I'm from the Philippines and I'm so excited about Passion Manila!

As the lyrics go, 'greater things have yet to come and greater things are still to be done in this city.' Our country is in pretty bad shape right now, with all the calamities and the depressing political situation, we young people definitely need life-changing and passionate worship that will give us hope.

I pray that Passion Manila will change our hearts and give us the desire to serve Him more--make His name known all over--all for His greater glory!

  • Hey Louie! I'm just passing by to get this update from you! By the way I was just listening to the Podcast recorded in Sao Paulo (my city!) and that seemed to be really amazing!

As a guy from Brazil I'm glad to see the impact our youth is making and how promising it is!! My pray is that we will be the generation that will mark history in Brazil and everywhere else!

So this is just to remind you that the Podcasts are not only being listened but promoted as well!

I live in the UK but couldn't make to London for the Passion evening but I hope to see you around and join you to raise our voices together and celebrate Jesus, the Rock of our Salvation!

All the very best to you and the whole team!

  • Passion Sao Paulo was so much more than just an event that it's still difficult for me to talk about it... I mean, I've talked about it to many and many friends, but I always end up with that feeling like I'm leaving so much out... I mean, I cannot fully convey what it was for me!

In many respects, I've been through some pretty tough situations in the past few weeks... but the things God said to me and did in me in those days trully helped me get over them all. How great is our God! His love truly endures forever!

I'm still praying for all the team, for the cities of leg 1 and for the remaining cities... AND, still wearing my wristband... ;^)

    God bless you all!

  • I was just listening to "welcome to the story of God", and I'm so encouraged.
Right now, my husband and I are based in Davao City, after living for 20 years in Canada.
We would like to join God on what He is doing to the story and history of the people in Mindanao. We are involved in Peace and Reconciliation facilitation here. Visit our website: www.peacebuilderscommunity.org and www.coffeeforpeace.com

  • I have not been checking this blog but the facebook groups.. but just to say I took off my london wristband on the 26th for a wedding.. but be assured a group of us are praying until the 2nd Aug in manila..

The Lord is stirring my heart. I need to love this city of London, much more than I think I'm loving it. I've been here for 5 years and thoughts of mission trips run through my mind and making America my send-off church has made me yearn for America rather than considering whether London was loved enough by me. I haven't loved this city well-enough that I suspected. When Chris led us to that song, I was convicted. I need to love London more. I can't thank you enough for bringing me to that realization.

  • Just got home from Passion Manila, and... TONIGHT WAS AWESOME!!! You guys are doing great things in God's naaame. SUPER great things. Greatness that I can't even explain!!! But as the song goes... We can do greater things. :D Back here in the Philippines, Lou, we'll be continuing worshipping and dancing and LIVING for the Lord. Tonight was... Amazing. Insane. The best night of my life (no exaggeration!).

Hope to see you guys back here soon! We love you!

  • I was really blessed by the story of Ashley... I may be like fruitcake but maybe I am half as vigilant as her. That story did reconciled the fact that I am forgiven no matter how many times I commit mistakes. I thank God for the wisdom He has given you Ptr. Louie and the whole Passion Team...
I will be praying for KL for God to move in that place!
